Can/should I run Arma?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

another one of the boring (but essential) questions.

I currently run

Win10 64-bit

Dual Core i3-7300 (4.00GHz)

2x4 GB DDR4 2133MHz

1TB HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM

Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1050Ti G1 4GB GDDR5

Primarily looking at single-player ops to learn for quite a while.

Should I bother at all? I'm unlikely to upgrade the i3 PCU for now and it seems CPU is a deciding factor with Arma3. I can look at better GPUs though... any thoughts?

Many thanks!

very much this! i only have a 750ti but with a 'upgrade' to 5 year old quad core i5 (from dualcore i 3 i think) gained a good 60 - 100 fps. sorry i don't have more stats for you to compare but my point is, that GPU will be fine, you may need more CPU :D

Hello, Welcome to Bis forums!

Yes! You should be able to get at least 35-50fps with your specs, depending on the mission you play of course but it will be playable for what you have.

Theres plenty of things you can do in SP and even host missions that are MP compatible and play them by yourself.

As for your last question, that depends on how much you want to spend, i would highly recommend asking that here:

Its a pinned thread with a good number of members that regularly post and know their computers that can help you.

Hope that helps. Cheers!
