Renagade 0 Posted June 25, 2003 just pasting from the other thread. Why is there still open bolt machine guns about. I thought they be total crap due to the odd recoil from the action and delay between pulling the trigger and firing but yet theres the m12 http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg20-e.htm I found this funny thing which looks like a piece of crap but has a 50 round mag which looks real small. http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg21-e.htm and this one which i alway get confused with the sten http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg28-e.htm i wonder why they had the magazines to the side on those ones though could it let soldiers fire from lower positions when prone There was also this funny french gun called something like the papop it looked like the OCIW. USSoldier11B 0 Posted June 26, 2003 "China Lake Pump" predecessor to the M79 "Thumper" single shot 40mm grenade launcher. Stoner 63/63A machine gun. This weapon saw heavy use in Vietnam by U.S. Navy SEALS Although flawed, the design was revolutionary. Designed by Dr. Eugene Stoner, who is considered the father of the M-16 assault rifle action.
