AI Units firing on custom/added objects

Hello all - I haven't found the solution on a search so here goes: If I add additional objects like tanks, M2's etc.. into a mission, for example - CityConflict where east and west start on opposite ends of the town - the AI players on the opposing side start firing on those added items. Is there a scripting command I can use to tell them that those items are friendly? Thanks in advance!
