Because, after being one-shot through vegetation I don't want to waste my time on a respawn, when I could be able to reload to exactly where and when I saved using BIS' stock save in a proper SP scenario.

You can still Save in MP , but to exit the mission , if you are killed you need to pass the "save and exit" procedure and this means to close the game!

 

So generally it's an MP mission.

If you want still to play this in SP , you need to open the mission in the editor and delete all the playable Units.

But  in SP , still you will not be able to have any mission parameters ( Enemies- Loot and the whole other stuff ) .

Hey! Having issues with it, when i install it on my Dedicated server,

Thats my Commandline Manager, yet it doesnt come up in my Mods in the server in game.

And when i go into the Salvation mission, everythings blank.

Know how to fix?

@GEORGE FLOROS GR Awesome mission. Me and my 4 year old gave it ago. Found my first npc after about 20min walking only to have him throw a grenade at me and kill both of us.

 

I decided to take a page out of your book and try and make a mission with scripts. I read that you didnt mind if we pull your mission apart. My missions are for personal use and i never upload them.

 

You have opened my eyes to scripting in a different way than i had been doing. Thank you for that. 

 

I really liked your random trader spawning. I also like your supply drop script your have. Using your random trader script as a template i managed to get camps to spawn randomly with a radio and add the airdrop as an add action. Even got squads of friendlies to guard the radio. Mixed with Eden Composition Spawning i have now managed to spawn full camps around the airdrops.

 

i have only used your traders stuff and the random structure spawn out of your mission.

Since you were saying about the traders ,

i will create a standalone script , for spawning , Ravage trading places on random ,

as there is already ( something similar ) in this mission .

They are pretty basic compared to the one im working on now. but it gives a good idea on what i am doing with them. The one im working on now adds about 30 more lines of code to my air_1 script. Once i get it better ill upload that for you as well.

Good day, everyone!

Not sure if this is the right topic to ask this, but i've encountered a problem with other player's saves on the server.

While I'm hosting a game (not a dedicated server), the save option works only for all objects on the map and for my character, but not for the ones played by my friends.

This means that the server data is actually persistent on my computer, but when others join, they see the same map with same objects, but spawn each time in another location with other equipment.

I am looking forward to any help, and eager to provide any information about the game setup you need.

 

Double-checked it on different maps, like Stratis or Altis, so it's not connected with the map choice. Playing only with mods recommended above.

I was updating all the scripts , in order also to be included .

For a persistance game just in local for the server and the player of the server , everything will be ok , but not for the other players.

 

In order to get a good persistance environment , the best option should be an external datatbase working on a Dedicated server.

I haven't check it further , but i would also like to , once i 'll have time.

 

I remember editing a Wasteland mission with a non external database also , it might be the iniDB.dll

maybe this:

 

 

But i know also that @code34

 

has  create this and it should be working:

 

iniDBI2 - Save and Load data to the server or your local computer without databases!

 

If i have time i 'll check it also.

If anyone else knows anything more , please feel free to post your informations !

Actually, i'm not experienced in modifying the mission files at all, so...

Although the installation of inidbi seems easy, the way I extract each parameter, like health, inventory objects, etc. and then write it into the database is too hard for me :C

Informations :


This mission supports SP or MP ,Coop or PVP ,
as a typical Survival , DAYZ Gameplay
and supports EVERY map (ArmA 1/2/3).

There are 20 Enemy selection.Fight VS NPCS or Zombies.
Gameplay with a lot of options (MODULAR environment).

Select your desired Environment
to the mission parameters.

Mission Parameters:

There are 8 paragraphs in the mission parameters.
There are a lot of options available, in order to have , a Modular Environment.

***CAUTION***
 

Your Selections may have effect on the performance , according also the selected map

Manage the performance , by making the correct selections according to your system.
There will be a great difference on th selected map.

There is an option available in the Parameters , diag_log_enabled ,
to get extra information about the Server .

Loot Probability :

There is en option for the percentage of the loot probability , according to the map selected.
If the map you are using , is a large map like Altis for example , you may want to set this to lower ,
because it will have effect on the performance.
There are options for : Vanilla , CUP , The Unsung Vietnam War Mod and Ravage mod , for the spawning loot.

This mission might not be playable due or in some part of due to the recent update.
