ArmA 2 Animations To ArmA 3 - A2ATA3

Hi maximilionus,

 

Animations from A2 are awesome, i really like the running animations, rifle point downwards, good handling and rigle disipline :)

 

Is there a way to get the

- A3 safewalking

- A3 walking with gun

and A3 pistol animations back?

In next update i'll split the anim config into several parts, so you'll be able to disable some animations by deleting *.pbo

Hello guys! Firstly I want to apologize for being offline for a loooooong time. All this time I spent on reworking A2ATA3, upcoming Non-Ragdolls modification and working with our ACA Team on ACA mod (Advanced Combat Animations) [more info later]. I’ve learned a lot of new things working all this time and here’s the small changelog of main changes for next update of A2ATA3 v0.8:

[NEW] Implementation of A2 Fatigue system in A3 (Test Version).

[NEW] Some of removed animations were fixed and now are ready to work.

[EDIT] Configuration files of animations was splitted into several parts in order to allow players disabling some animations.

[FIX] Animations interpolation speed was changed.

[NEW] ArmA 2 style fatigue system -- More info in "@*\README.txt".
[EDIT] File structure reworked.
[EDIT] Config file with animations was edited a little bit: removed all duplicated animation class names.
[EDIT] Overall size of modification has been reduced.
[FIX] Minor animation fixes.
[FIX] Slow prone animation speed was reduced.
[FIX] Crouching animations speed was fixed.

          

Work on splitting animations config file is not finished yet, so i decided to add it after it will work properly.

do you mind make a brief summary of the differences/how is it more like A2, and what issues you were running into? the script or otherwise?

In A2 there were no such thing like exhaustion. Player was able to run at any moment, but speed of running and other actions was depending on the current stamina level of player. This feature in this modification was removed due many incompatibilities with other modifications (it works fine standalone) and now i'm trying to fix this problems. Maybe it will be fixed in next patch.
