ArmA 2 Animations To ArmA 3
This mod is in development, so if you notice any problems just let me know.
 

- Short Description:

ArmA2 Anims To ArmA3 (A2ATA3) - mod for ArmA3 that change the most part of movement animations in A3 to A2 animations.

 

- Features:

  • Movement animations in A3 changed to animations from A2
  • Completely working, fully fixed animations

Awesome work there! I hope I am not alone, but I absolutely hate the ragdoll in A3 where it only happens when you're killed. There's almost no incentive for other players to check on you anymore as it is almost plain obvious if you've died or are simply downed.

This is fantastic! I missed the ARMA 2 animations especially the sprint. An issue I've noticed is when prone with a rifle, the left arm compresses/stretches as shown here:

On a side note, is there currently a way users can disable certain animations? I only ask as the hilarious ARMA 2 weapon-lowered crouch walk can be a little immersion breaking.

@khaosmatical currently: there’s no way to disable any animation by user, but i’m working on that.

And other thing with “compressed” hand... i’ll try to do something with that, but not sure what i can fix it.

Yep. This mod replaces all movement animations in A3 to A2 anims.

Awesome! Have you ever considered making use of the running vault animation that is in A2/A3?

Sorry for the late reply: this mod supposed to change animations, not to add new features. There’s a lot of mods (like Enhanced Movement) that adds new functionality to movement system, so i dont think about this features right now.

You need to run this modification on both clients. There's no way to fix this animations mismatch.

The death animations would be awesome to have, maybe we won't have as many guys dying with their legs bent up into the air.  Looking forward to it.
