Chernarus 2035 (Chernarus + Utes + More)

@crazy mike this is my first time see the actual maps tools in use and holy shit like come on bi 1999 call and they want their map tools back

Edit: also i dont know if you have seen the cherno redux map but they also have tunnels and caves and the way do the ceilings of the caves is they have thin plane object that has the ground texture on it instead of covering the hole with rocks.

uh yea there is literally no other way to do "underground" then that, i did that over a year ago with my vortorsk terrain

New northern road has been built from petrovka nuclear plant to guba

new locations
-guba
-belyov
-expansion to gvozdno
-new military base

New nighttime ambient sounds
Small fixes to a few glitch objects around the map

the new landmass expansion is in this build however it is not finished, i only have a single source version because i wont create 2 builds, so i will simply develop the expansion in large chunks at a time. The new expansions layout is also subject to change in the future, things like the NWAF on the new landmass for example are being completely changed to be unique. thanks!

This is shaping up to be one of the best maps about... chernarus is already pretty lit, without even considering your amazing edits and additions

The maker had only 1 or 2 posts on Armaholic and disappeared. I thought about trying to move it to Arma 3 but realized there was too much to do to bring it up to 3 standards.

New Zelenogorsk its not finished but its getting there basically just some more towns smashed together nd like inverted

 

its much less noticeable once objects are placed, when im doing the sat from a 2d view its like sad copy paste really

This looks absolutely amazing. This is the Chernarus update I think many of us have been waiting for. Thank you so much for creating new interiors and really giving the map the treatment it needs.

 

I notice that the northeast corner of the map says that content is coming in the future. Does this mean Podagorsk will be added to Chernarus 2035? Also, are there any plans to do a winter version?

no ive never used alive so i havent looked into it yet on how they "support" maps, id imagine its just in a config somewhere

i remember way back they used locations. but i haven't used it in literally years. so they might've changed their approach.

We index maps based on building ID’s, and it’s a manual process (each building needs to be categorized by a human. The finished index gets included within ALiVE), so there’s really no sense in us indexing unless there’s a large gap between updates or until the map is done (or at least the buildings part).
