Details:
This small addon adds the ability to open and close compatible doors and ramps on Arma 3 Vanilla vehicles. More vehicles will be added over time. Currently a few of the vehicles have visual issues which I will raise tickets with BI for.  Any feedback welcome.

 

Vehicles Currently Supported:

  • Van
  • Zamak Truck
  • Hunter Unarmed
  • Strider
  • Ifrit


Future Plans/ Known Issues:

  • Add more vehicles.
  • Not fully tested in MP.

I think a few other vanilla vehicles also have animated doors you can't interact with (the Ifrit, the Hunter).

Would be neat if this addon could cover them as well : I'm always frustrated when I disembark and can't hide behind those doors. ^^

Sure, good idea. I'll look at expanding them. It's pretty simple to do - if anyone has any vehicle requests let me know and I'll concentrate on those first.

I believe this older mod has many of the openable doors as options, perhaps it might be work looking at and adding the same vehicles to your modern mod?

i would probably use distance instead of distance2D. i can imagine situations of riding in a helicopter with a truck slung below, and able to open/close the truck doors while riding in the heli, simply because im directly above the truck

Good shout - I had thought about it but couldn't think of a case where 2D wouldn't work. Now I have one!

I'll start with these then, I'll just go through the config and find as many as I can and add them over time.

- Taru helicopter has 3 openable doors!

- Taru transport pod has 2 openable doors

- Taru medical pod probably has openable doors

- Hunter has openable doors, but I believe not all versions, maybe only the unarmed one

- I think Strider has openable doors

- VTOL blackfish has openable ramp

- VTOL xian has openable ramp

Issue with latest Dev branch has broken some door anims - waiting on a fix from BI to see if it will affect the mod.

thx for ur great work.

I tried this animation for Ifrit

Ifrit animateDoor ["Door_LF", 1, true];

it worked 

next, chose van n named it van1

van1 animateDoor ["Door_LF", 1, true]; 

it didnt work...why?

door name was different?

plz help me.

n plz tell me vehicles name we can use.
