How do i edit my saved .altis scenarios in editor?

I am trying to edit my saved scenarios (Not entirely made by me) that have an .altis file extension. I have tried placing them into the missions folder in arma 3's steamapps/common/arma 3/missions folder but nothing showed up in the editor when i chose the "open" optin in editor

 

Same thing with my saved scenarios that are stored in documents/saved/missions

Or alternatively.

C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\YOURArma3GameName\missions
