Helo config-adding option of which side to exit

I seem to remember players having the option in Arma 2 days of which side of the helo they would exit. I'd like to include this on a helo I'm working on.

 

Tried googling it and came across an old unfinished thread;

 

But couldn't find anything else. Is this possible? would it be something I put in my config or look to scripting? Would need to work in MP environment.

 

Any ideas or pointers on how-tos to see if I can get it to work? Even if someone remembers a mod that offered this, I could use it as a guide.
