How I can make this camera as default in my server?

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

Some days ago I saw this youtube's video and I was wondering how I can set this camera on my server? it's his personal settings, or it's server side?

Thanks!

Whatever that is - but if you don't have access to your server's profile file (it's just like your regular profile file, called like this: PROFILENAME.Arma3Profile) you should contact your hoster.

What's the location of this file? which folder or something like that?

Depends on your server's setting. Usually you set the profile your server is supposed to start by yourself. Your hoster has to have some form of documentation on how you can access your server's settings and startup parameters. Again: That highly depends on your host - contact them. Here nobody can help you in this regard.

Hey, you can just add the settings he gave you to your TCAGame.Arma3Profile file. You may have to restart the server for changes to take effect.

Well, open the TCAGame.Arma3Profile  with a notepad like you did in the screenshot and parse the settings belbo gave you in there into a new line, preferably at the bottom of the file.

So your file would look like this:

Version=1;
blood=1;
singleVoice=0;
gamma=1;
brightness=1;
scenecomplexily=400000;
shadowZDistanoe=100;
viewDistance=1000;
preferredObjectViewDistance=800;
terrainGrid=25;
volumeCD=10;
volumeFX=10;
volumeSpeech=10;
volumeVoN=10;
maxSamplesPlayed=96;
vonRecThreshotd=0.029999999;
activeKeys[]=
{
'BlS_TheCrazyTigersBase.Takistan_done',
'BlS_Operation%20Purple%20Thunder%20Episode%201.fallujah_done',
'BlS_Altis%20Assult%20part-1 .Altis_done',
'BlS_OP%20lions%2ORoar.Porto_done',
'BlS_msimat%20shabat.DYA_done',
'BlS_FridayMission.Mountains_ACR_done'
};

groupIndicators = 0;

friendlyTags = 0;

enemyTags = 0;

detectedMines = 0;

commands = 0;

waypoints = 0;

weaponInfo = 0;

stanceIndicator = 0;

staminaBar = 0;

weaponCrosshair = 0;

visionAid = 0;

thirdPersonView = 0;

deathMessages = 0;

mapContent = 0;

autoReport = 0;

multipleSaves = 0;

That won't work - probably your game won't even start. There's a complete cfgDifficulties template you can just copy over and edit afterwards.

Please, people: Read the stuff people show you.

I read this guide and I didn't understand what to do, in my server's profile I got this code -

version=1;
blood=1;
singleVoice=0;
gamma=1;
brightness=1;
sceneComplexity=400000;
shadowZDistance=100;
viewDistance=1000;
preferredObjectViewDistance=800;
terrainGrid=25;
volumeCD=10;
volumeFX=10;
volumeSpeech=10;
volumeVoN=10;
maxSamplesPlayed=96;
vonRecThreshold=0.029999999;
activeKeys[]=
{
	"BIS_TheCrazyTigersBase.Takistan_done",
	"BIS_Operation%20Purple%20Thunder%20Episode%201.fallujah_done",
	"BIS_Altis%20Assult%20part-1.Altis_done",
	"BIS_OP%20lions%20Roar.Porto_done",
	"BIS_msimat%20shabat.DYA_done",
	"BIS_FridayMission.Mountains_ACR_done",
	"BIS_DefuseTheThearting.fallujah_done"
};

Where I need to add this code?

groupIndicators=0;
friendlyTags=0;
enemyTags=0;
detectedMines=0;
commands=0;
waypoints=0;
weaponInfo=0;
stanceIndicator=0;
staminaBar=0;
weaponCrosshair=0;
visionAid=0;
thirdPersonView=0;
deathMessages=0;
mapContent=0;

You have to copy the example server difficulty profile into your TCAGame.Arma3Profile.

class DifficultyPresets
{
	class CustomDifficulty
	{
		class Options
		{
			/* Simulation */

			reducedDamage = 0;		// Reduced damage

			/* Situational awareness */

			groupIndicators = 0;		// Group indicators (0 = never, 1 = limited distance, 2 = always)
			friendlyTags = 0;		// Friendly name tags (0 = never, 1 = limited distance, 2 = always)
			enemyTags = 0;			// Enemy name tags (0 = never, 1 = limited distance, 2 = always)
			detectedMines = 0;		// Detected mines (0 = never, 1 = limited distance, 2 = always)
			commands = 1;			// Commands (0 = never, 1 = fade out, 2 = always)
			waypoints = 1;			// Waypoints (0 = never, 1 = fade out, 2 = always)
			tacticalPing = 0;		// Tactical ping (0 = disable, 1 = enable)

			/* Personal awareness */

			weaponInfo = 2;			// Weapon info (0 = never, 1 = fade out, 2 = always)
			stanceIndicator = 2;		// Stance indicator (0 = never, 1 = fade out, 2 = always)
			staminaBar = 0;			// Stamina bar
			weaponCrosshair = 0;		// Weapon crosshair
			visionAid = 0;			// Vision aid

			/* View */

			thirdPersonView = 0;		// 3rd person view
			cameraShake = 1;		// Camera shake

			/* Multiplayer */

			scoreTable = 1;			// Score table
			deathMessages = 1;		// Killed by
			vonID = 1;			// VoN ID

			/* Misc */

			mapContent = 0;			// Extended map content
			autoReport = 0; // (former autoSpot) Automatic reporting of spotted enemied by players only. This doesn't have any effect on AIs.
			multipleSaves = 0;		// Multiple saves
		};

		// aiLevelPreset defines AI skill level and is counted from 0 and can have following values: 0 (Low), 1 (Normal), 2 (High), 3 (Custom).
		// when 3 (Custom) is chosen, values of skill and precision are taken from the class CustomAILevel.
		aiLevelPreset = 3;
	};

	class CustomAILevel
	{
		skillAI = 0.5;
		precisionAI = 0.5;
	};
};

Change accordingly.
