Amazing quality and attention to detail, the ploughed fields and farmland especially.

One of the best looking maps I've seen so far... stunning!

Agreed, one of the best looking maps up to now, and with a real eye for detail!

Can't wait to test this one out. Always happy to see familiar northern environments

From those screens it looks sick, certainly one of the best terrains for Arma 3, if not THE best. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the release ! :)

Looks like it creates a very nice atmosphere. I too would be interested in the technical specs of grid and cell size used.

These screenshots really blew me away, absolutely stunning, especially that custom vegetation. Very good.

Keep it up!

What is your grid size? From the screens it looks smaller than 2m.

Thanks! Cell size is 2m - i would have gone for higher but that crashes the tools. "Satellite" map is 1m/px and streamed as 16 2048x2048 textures. No normal map for now because I prefer more surfaces and I think the shader implementation of the normal map is quite bad.

Yeah 2m is generally the most detailed you can get, anything lower and the engine starts to freak out. 2m will get you lovely microterrain detail though.

Thought I'd share some progress :)

More screenshots here.

New foliage: mountain birches (betula pubescens tortuosa) and downy willow (salix lapponum).
Some tests on villages/settlements and other marks by civilization.

Awesome work! Hopefully the CUP team can work out the brightness issues with the vegetation in the future.

I won't fight on this map! I will gather butterflies and dandelions! No, serious, i cannot recognize arma 3 on your screens.

man i don't know how you did it but you have so much color variation but no awkward out of placew coloring anywhere like on many many maps in this game (because of mixing of assets and stuff).

i also love the puddles. are those the same that bludski uses or your own? i've been seeign those adn wondering who the author is.
