A polite request for an in game chat filter.

Does the in-game chat provide any means to filter it? I can't find it if it's already there somewhere

 

It is quite enough to keep up with without having to continuously read server telemetry and !admin commands

I'm pretty sure there's no way (at least vanilla client-side) to filter the chat. You can hide the chat if you want though, just shrink it or move it aside in the HUD editor.

I'd very much love a bindable key to turn ingame chat on and off.
Sometimes in MP the chat is just a distraction.
