Simple(?) functional camo idea

Currently, camouflage only works in PvP. So here's my idea: assign every ground texture a "type" like grass, sand, arid, etc., and assign uniforms AI detection multipliers. Is this even possible?

Yes, I would hope they would do that.

 

On the other hand, the current system at least mirrors PVP, in that you can see anyone in any terrain regardless of camo because of how broken concealment past 50m is in this game.

It's probably possible to script that. Maybe even make a small mod. Anyone with SQF skills care to pitch in?

Yeah, ASR-AI already has the function, but because it needs to be set up for every possible camo/mod it's very time consuming from a creator standpoint to do. Still possible though.

The uniforms already have detection multipliers for AI, and the terrain surfaces have different types, but these two have no correlation in the vanilla game.
