How do you use mask line?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to use mask line in terrain processor to remove trees on roads.

I add the shape file with roads but I think I'm missing something. Some how it has to be linked to the the objects to remove. How do I do that?

Thanks.

TP can only remove stuff placed by TP. If you have a forest already in terrain builder, then build a road through it. TP can't remove the tree's as the tree's are in your terrain builder project not TP's

The "mask line" module must be placed in the same project (.tpp) as your forest generation AFTER your forest generation module.

Thanks for the replies.

I trying to use TP to remove trees from roads. The forests have been created with TP. So, I have a few ldt files in a directory. I put the tree removing tpp file in the same directory. I give it the roads shape file and then run. It runs and doesn't give an error but I'm not seeing any trees removed.

I have removed the objects form TB and reloaded them but no change. Something I'm missing?

It has to be in the same project as when you make the forest

So in TP something like

Area random (forest)

Area random (rocks)

Mask Linear (clear roads)

TP won't read from any other files in the same directory, it's just not that advanced

hmm ... well that didn't work :(

I'll play with the settings and see if it makes a difference.

Get in contact with this guy. Its a simple program where you load in your mask, select the colour you want to fill and go nuts :)
