Contemporary Iranian Infantry pls (Tired of Aliens)

An all-volunteer force and highly motivated force dedicated to essentially protecting its own and the theocratic regime's international interests, they receive the bulk of Iran's modern equipment. They number about 100,000-120,000 men. This includes the Naval Infantry component as well. Their newest standard rifle is claimed to be an upgraded version of the Norinco M16 copy seen in the photo.

Tasked with defending the borders and of course acting as a formal army, Iran's army is mainly made up of conscripts who receive professional military training. Their standard issue rifle is the G3A3 locally produced in Iran, with the MGA3 (Iranian copy of the German MG3) serving as its main heavy machine gun.

Im thinking of just mixing the CSAT and AAF equipment together, perhaps adding in the khaki tactical vests for the standard infantry. I believe this would suffice for the time being in order to replace CSAT forces with retextured and contemporary looking Iranian units. Iranian soldiers, excluding artillery and logistics troops, are switching over to an Iranian copy of both the PASGT and German modern helmets, so something like the AAF MICH would do the job.

I'm wondering if anybody knows of a mod or knows of someone considering making a mod that adds an artillery system similiar to that of the ACE 2 mod with the manual aiming, shells and towing that all go hand in hand with realistic artillery operations. As in my opinion this is sorely lacking in ArmA 3 and would be useful for Arty crews in milsim units.

To some degree the answer is situational... for example, you can disable the "point and click" interface via script command ( enableEngineArtillery false; ) or replacement config (changing the value of the artilleryScanner = 1; line) which leave you with this; Killzone_Kid wrote instructions for that sight and there's a discussion in the comments about alternatives (i.e. spotter giving you direction if you lack direct line of sight, someone else giving "launch" velocities for the 82 mm mortar's three range settings). Alternately, there's an online calculator that supports vanilla artillery (based on this worksheet) and RHS Escalation's Akatsiya and Paladin self-propelled howitzers. Finally, if you need an in-game interface let me recommend Drongos Artillery, which is declared to be Reyhard's East Static Weapons Pack and RHS Escalation-compatible.

Requesting F-5 Freedom Fighter and T-33 Talon jet trainer with dual pilot/co-pilot seat for MP. I also want A-4 Skyhawk with a lasersight system for a Top Gun style server. And some way to play and co-ordinate a server with fighter aircraft that could connect to someones mp-server to provide all kinds of Air support for their missions.

A few simple retextures of default vehicles in AAF digital camo, like the BTR Kamysh and the Hunter MRAP. I have found plenty of NATO and desert retextures, but i would like to see some CSAT/NATO vehicles in AAF camo. I dont like the warrior IFV or the Fennek. I believe the Oshkosh and BTR are more suitable.

Wouldn't mind having a gps mod that you can set a destination on map and the gps will show route maybe even turn by turn directions? eliminating the need for way points or stopping every now and then to check the map...otherwise the gps is just a mini map...not really a gps at all..

Good idea for the GPS!

I dont think there is such an option for GPS currently, it would be interesting to see something like this ingame though, it could be scripted too,

hopefully someone sees this idea and works on it.

Focus on creating new custom buildings, infrastructure and making unique maps. A syrian city with custom buildings instead of the copy paste buildings from Arma 2 will add a lot to the atmosphere of the game.

It'd be useful to have route-calculating Sat Nav addon I agree; but it's a mistake to believe that it's a capability that all GPS-based systems have. GPS just tells you where you are at that exact moment, anywhere on Earth.

GPS itself doesn't even have a map image: just longitude-latitude coordinates, and a time signature. Everything else depends on the particular navigation software that's installed on the device to utilise the GPS data. Some systems do more than others.

is there any mod that enables entering and walking inside vehicles? For instance, lower the ramp of a transport heli like the ch 47, walk inside. Then lower the ramp again in midair and make a helo jump. In the vanilla game one can enter vehicles and sit at fixed positions only, say the gunners or back seat. Does anyone have an idea how to make it happen?

sadly no this isnt possible 1 it would require editing models witch cannot be done

2 i believe the engine doesn't allow it i have been shows some wip stuff but nothing reliable and not very usable

The ONLY thing that exists for this type of thing, but it doesn't exactly count as a mod. Also, please use the Mod/Addon Request Thread for these kinds of questions.

I know there once was a nuke mod by panda that is now completely gone from the internet.I know there is a script of a nuke mod from A2 ported to A3,but a script is of no use to an idiot like me who has barely gotten the basics of the editor.So,basically what I would like to see is a nuke that is easy to use,preferably spawnable via Zeus(either as a detonatable object like an explosive from the empty units OR an instantly detonating module OR whatever you're able to think of).

This would be a nice addition to the missions I do in Zeus with my friends and I would be very grateful if somebody made this.:)

First of all, hello lads ;)

This is not a complaint post, rather my observation. We all know that playing Arma so satisfying, but in my opinion, it gets boring when You are playing only on desert\iraq\afghan moutians. Chernarus is not enough. Some of You will say that there is a Bornholm map. Well yes, but it's an island, and as for now it's not as good and "well made" as some other maps. In fact when I'm driving on it I thing that is only beta version...

As a guy who lives in old continent (Europe) I'd love to see maps from Europe. Just think about it. How lovely it would be to play on map settled in Bavaria or Normandy or Polish Masurian lake district or Polish Bieszczady Mountains or even plain areas like Ukraine, Germany, Poland, somewhere USA or Canada ect. Do you feel me? It's more atrractive to me (and I'll bet that for others too) to play on maps that kinda remind me... home.

And here is another problem. Right now, all assets (buildings walls barriers ect.) that we've got, are A2 ports, without A3 functionality and quallity. We are not even able to walk in to them in most of cases, and all A3 buildings and stuff from Stratis and Altis have this Mediterraean "style".

So what is Your opinion lads? Would You play?

Lately I've been craving to make an American style map, but I don't have time to create the assets needed. I think it's sad that most modellers put their effort into making just guns and vehicles.

First of all, hello lads ;)

My opinion is nobody creates assets for terrains, seeing all the terrains with the same objects over and over is just boring. I started making my own assests, buts thats a long process.
