Just bought and loaded up into Tanoa in the dev build so can someone please port Charon's Predator Mod and create an 80's movie star head pack for use with this:

 

Schwarzenegger and Predator Team

Stallone and Rambo Team

R Lee Emery, Adam "Animal Mother" Baldwin and squad from Full Metal Jacket

Charlie Sheen and Squad from Platoon

 

Just the heads would suffice. We have great mods to do the rest. :D

Well what you meant -i am sure- was can someone please Get Permission to port these things. Right? ;)

I have a request to fix something that has been bugging me eversince I started playing Arma.

 

One of the most annoying things to me is that you can't slide or trample down a steep hillside. When you want to go straight down a steep hill fast, your character starts doing this weird slow pase, as if there aren't any bullets and missles flying around your ears. Sometimes the best tactical solution is just to get the hell out of the way, and more often than not you're prevented from doing so on a steep incline. 

 

I don't need to aim I just want to get off the damn hill!!

Predator Mod

 

Basically, animals that want to kill you, for Tanoa, and only spawn in the jungle, and come after you at high speed.

 

Bobcat, Tiger, Lynx, Panther (perhaps this one won't kill you unless you get too close to it)

 

Scary sound when they've spotted you, and bassy sounds for their sprinting to add more terror feeling.

Y'know, this reminds me of the various dangerous-animal-mods folks made for Arma 2. What I wouldn't give to have some crocodiles for rivers and whatnot- especially since swimming is a bit more interesting than it was in 2!

I like the idea of sea dangers, but people don't swim THAT much, unfortunately, so i was hoping for danger on land... Of course, a bit more realistic and fitting than a Raptor, of course. XD

a nice all-in-one package for Tanoa as Vietnam "Mod"

 

- you install it and then you can play with authetic vietnam weapons authentic models and sounds with people.. smaller missions or CTI...  but authentic.

 

Even SP Lonewolfing would be cool. But with Tanoa I am feeling the nam vibe

I'd like a thorough, ALiVE compatible (which apparently is an automatic process assuming you follow BIS faction making protocol), Middle Eastern/Islamic terrorist faction set that includes multiple factions AND civilians. I love the ones out there but they still lack in some ways:

CAF: Old, unsupported, and only has infantry and technicals

Warfare Thai: No civs *EDIT* Apparently has civs! :)

Middle East Warfare: My favorite, but has civs in business suits and the Taliban faction doesn't have any vehicles (you need a 3rd party patch)

Leigh'ts OPFOR: Is almost always broken or breaking missions with updates. Not to mention thievery.

Eric J's Taliban: Intentionally unarmed units, no civs, not ALiVE compatible.

Iraqi-Syrian Conflict: Very good but no civs.

CUP Takistani's: No civs and the Taliban vehicles are more militarized than I'd like

I know people say Afghani/desert themed maps and units are overdone in Arma 3 but no genuinely complete unit pack currently exists IMO. If I ever learn how to mod this is the first thing I'd do. We need an RHS of middle eastern factions! Don't get me wrong, the ones out there are good and usable and I love all the packs, but they all still lack in being the 'complete' package: Standard group configs, multiple factions, civilians.

I believe all of the WarfareThai factions/groups are ALIVE compatible.....you can also find groups of civilians (African, Eastern-Europeans and Middle-Eastern) under Assets >F2 >Civilians in the Eden editor.  ;)

An addon that enables you do load pout your gear and your group AI gear before the mission starts instead of always doing it once the mission starts through an ammobox etc.

the description ext before was good but now due to the addition of uniforms, helmets etc. this is no longer enough.

An arsenal type or loadout transfer type for you and your AI group before the mission starts such as in the briefing area would be awesome. I always loved how in OFP you could do this.
