But on the idea they are to be as realistic as possible. As I can get the new model upload to the web in a few days now, but the textures will take longer. As I'm the only one working on this addon, unlike some of the other addons out there which has a large team to help. Any texture help will be noted! DragoFire 0 Posted February 18, 2003 It's taking a bit longer than I wanted it too, but here's where I'm at with the new model. New model of A-6E with SkyHawks Closer look at new plane. New cockpit in the making (please note that this gauges do work and others are being transfered into the Pilot View and Gunner View from master cockpit mockup model) I've changed the paint scene back to NAVY grey, but would still like to get some help to finish a couple of other paint scenes. eg, Marines paint scene, low profile paint scene, Desert Storm paint scene, and a couple of others too. Looks like you've taken a screenshot and drawn the panel lines and details on to it with a grease pencil Well, the cockpit is gonna be great, really looking forward to this plane...Can imagine some great Nam and Gulf War missions... DragoFire 0 Posted February 20, 2003 The next beta will be released soon, just ironing out a couple of bugs I found. This beta will ether be by multiple e-mails to a select few or downloaded over a few days from my ISP's FTP space (limited to 10mb), if this is done I'll post a message with a link to the first part of the ZIP, followed in a couple of days later the next part. electroNIX 0 Posted April 18, 2003 Hi! Very nice work!! Perfect for those NAM Missions... A couple of problems, though... I use the SP/MP Suppoert Pack from snypr to have CloseAirSupport and Helo Extraction with the SEB_NamPack (very nice to see the medivac coming in, especially when your are wounded or a pack of hueys or cobras... but before i write too much... ) I changed the SupportPack Airstrike Script so I have now the Intruder AttackBomber delivering for me those nice MK81 or 82s... BUT THE PROBLEM is... the plane explodes in-air when dropping those bombs... i already changed the support-pack-script so it drops the bombs with more time inbetween, i also tried to make the timeframe smaller... nothing works... it always explodes at the first bomb it drops, but it doesnt seems to collide with the bombs, because all bombs to be delivered do explode on target... This problem does not occur with the F4 which is originally inside the script of the sebnam pack2 ... It would be soooo nice to have the trusty intruder by my side when i go back to the jungle... EDIT: I fiddled some more and it seems the problem is in the support script as it spawns the bombs where the plane is... so with 3 MK84s i dont have this collison problem... but it would be nice to have those 30 MK31s for a nice bombcarpet Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
miles teg 1 Posted April 18, 2003 Where can I find that support script? Is it at OFP editing center? Last I looked I couldn't find one. I've been looking for some kind of carpet bomb script for usage with that B52 addon that came out not long ago. I've been able to get the B52's to fly at a high altitude finally, but every time they attack targets they try to dive bomb them and they end up blowing themselves up. I figure that with a "careless" and "never fire" waypoint that I could make them fly over a target area and do some serious carpet bombing. electroNIX 0 Posted April 19, 2003 Hi!.. well it doesnt really belongs here, but... I just added the B52 beta1 to be used by the script and it works fine! Remember the script spawns the bombs where the plane is it doesnt drop the actual payload, but i dont mind... To find that script look at ofpec.com there it is... should be with multiplayer scripts and also with 10 most wanted... One thing with the b52 though, it wont drop bombs over 1000 height, i hear the plane but the bombs never "arrive"... and the real B52 carries about 51 MK82/83? not 100 like in the beta1 B52 (according to this military page) But i am not able to get the Intruder into carpetbombing, still! If I change the dropratio to 10sec it works fine but the point is missed... i would like to have them in a close row... but after a couple dropped(spawned ) bombs the plane crashes with one or more of them...
