[cec].blindman 10 Posted December 24, 2016 Good day to all. While the weekend downtime sale on Steam, I couldn't play any games including A3. So I'm wondering if there is a way to launch and run A3 without Steam at all? I used to think "Ohh how wonderful and easy it is to have everything run from one program (Steam)", but while it was downed, I had no access to any of my games including A3. So I uninstalled my whole library, and installed as standalone games. And the only game that seems to require Steam is A3. Any help with this would be appreciated. IndeedPete 1038 Posted December 24, 2016 Just start steam in offline mode and you will be able to launch A3 as usual.
pooroldspike 129 Posted December 24, 2016 Yeah, like Pete said, you can play in offline mode. For example when I clicked my Arma3 desktop shortcut icon yesterday to start the game as usual, Steam must have been down because the message came up "Cannot connect to Steam, do you wish to play in offline mode?", so I clicked "yes" and was able to play. OleBarnes 0 Posted January 5, 2017 Steam downtime is usually very short. I would just play something else during the rare occurance.
