I have a complaint about this script:  FALSE ADVERTISING.  The name of the script is clearly "Cargo Airdrops GF", and yet when I run it no girlfriend is dropped from the sky.   :unhappy:

(sry, couldn't resist...its the first thing I thought of when I saw the title...:icon_biggrin:.   Now I worry about the "Headshot GF" script too...that would be bad...).

Locality issue. Where the wife is not local, you need to remote exec it.

Went through the entire thread and didn’t see these, sooooooo. You know you play too much Arma when;

  • Seeing a telecomm tower in real life and the first thought is how many satchels are needed to take it down.
  • Watching a real live military documentary and thinking to oneself, ‘that’s not how I would do that in-game.’

(usually work out how to use what I’ve just seen in Arma is more like it ;) )

Finally,  you know you play too much Arma when the first question friends ask is ‘How’s Arma?!?’

You've played to much Arma when:

  • Other games your playing give you ideas for scenarios you can create in the editor.
  • Other games you play dont feel like "home" like Arma does.
  • Every amount of time you vested into the game, and community you feel was time well spent.

You've played to much Arma when:

  • Places you go to on a map are relaxing and nostalgic.
  • Flying, cruising on a boat, or going for a ride on your favorite map is your version of a getaway.
  • Choose a house on a map you like and start actually adding furniture and static objects in it thinking your going to move in.
  • When you play other games you setup the controls with the same mouse and keyboard layout as you have in Arma.
  • When you see old members back on the forum that were away for a long time and it makes you feel like you've regained a member of your family back.
  • Its hard for you to shut the game down because you have to get to bed or go to work.
  • Your loyalty and dedication to a game and mod keeps you playing it no matter how much better or neater something else is.
  • You feel guilty for playing something else.
  • You talk with friends you game with on the phone and actually ask if (game name) is there when someone else answers.
  • Others talk about playing video games to kill time and you talk about playing Arma like its your 2nd job.

Each time you see certain buildings or areas, you remember times of extreme drama you experienced there.

Certain bush LODs at a distance look a bit like a soldier with a gun. But you're suspicious anyway, just in case.

You put a few extra rounds into any dead body you see, because you're not sure whether or not one of your addons simulates recovery.

You know you've played too much Arma when you get through a long mission without killing yourself...a team mate,an AI...Blowing up a vehicle...sending a squad mate into the firing line by mistake...stabbing yourself with an EPI pen uneededly  or jumping out of a fast moving automobile ,by mistake.......via the action menu.

. . .  when you code using classnames without looking them up to verify, and no resulting errors.

. . .  when watching an Arma video, the person who did the recording opens their map, and you click the screen to try moving the map.

When all your dreams are in ArmAverse.

The other day I had a dream in OFP style. A little bit like switching between playing the game in the dream and actually being in the mission (in the dream), nothing special.

When I woke up, I thought 'Why wasn't this dream in Arma 3?' It would have looked better and I would have more options..

As your last day has dawned, you lay down, surrounded by your dear family members, as your wife is holding your hand. Soon, your eyes close and you start losing the grip to reality. And the last words you hear are..

"2, Taking Command!"
