VXR 9 Posted June 26, 2002 anyone knows what memory points make the MM-1 grenade part turn when fire?
kegetys 2 Posted June 27, 2002 Put something like this to the config: revolving="buben"; revolvingAxis="osa_buben"; then "buben" is the selection group that rotates and "osa_buben" is the axis point at the memory lod for it.
VXR 9 Posted June 27, 2002 can i also set the speed of rotating?
VipHeart 0 Posted June 28, 2002 Yeah, anyone know how to speed up the rotating?? I'm building an belt fed MG - and i use the rotating function to simulate the feded ammo.. and in the moment it's moving like a snake...
KKB 0 Posted June 28, 2002 It isn't automaticly applied by the reload time? Bummer, I thought it would because I haven't found any parameter for this. I planed to use that animation for a minigun...
kegetys 2 Posted June 28, 2002 It seems to rotate by the reload time speed... and does a full 360 degree circle for the full mag I think...
VXR 9 Posted June 29, 2002 yes i also make it for a minigun on the huey just need to texture the minigun and he is done
Indy 0 Posted June 30, 2002 damn, i have made the minigun, but it rotates too slow, and a magazine have about 400 rounds....
VipHeart 0 Posted June 30, 2002 Same probs with my gun! I have implented about 25 rounds (although the real mag has 100 rounds) to cut down the faces/poly count. The mag is simply moving to slow... Butwhen i would add 100 rounds the model would have about 1500 polys :-) That's leads me to another question: couldn't i use the view geometry/geometry LODs in weapons, too?? Because most of the ammo is always hidden in the mag casing ( and with view geometry the engine would process them..).
