At what point does a sp mission become a fully-fledged total modification?

This looks amazing!

Thank you! Trying my best for you guys! Even started to learn about terrain building!

And yes, with that map we need to wait a little bit longer than 1 month. It won't be easy. I will provide you here with updates. Lets say, weekly patchnotes! Every monday, starting from the next week. Yeah!
So, wanted to share with you with this little screenshot of todays progress!

Updated version of satellite map! Now it's 8192x8192 instead of 1024x1024! Looking pretty already, huh?

So, I've dealing with some things and now I want to know something.
If you guys could try and test out the DBO Horse mod, it would be cool. I need to know, is it ok to use it or not. Since this mod is very buggy, it could be difficult to use it. The choice is yours guys!
If no, then I wont use it in my sandbox.

P.S. Don't forget to use "setObjectTexture" to set textures on it.
For example:

this setObjectTexture [0, "#(rgb,8,8,3)color(1,0,0,1)"];

P.S. 5 AM when writing this, expect a lot of mistakes :P

Found a colt revolver perfect for the Wild West on Armaholic, maybe of some use?

I saw it, but atm I'm afraid that just only one revolver in whole mod is not good. Of course, if people will say that we need it, I'll add it!

Ok, how about this: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=31942

Maybe you can get permissions from Bnae's to use that colt revolver animation, that would add some serious realism and immersion!

Do you plan to build your own weapons, or whats the idea for that, imo 1 revolver is something, i mean how many types of revolvers does a western need?

I would think you could at least have the revolver, a rifle, and maybe a shotgun, it be a start at least for release, then expand on it.

Colt navy, maybe same one updated in my previous post, idk.

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22112

Maybe toadie2k could make some Western weapons for you. Some thoughts to help out. :)

Already using Bnaes mod! His weapons are the best I've seen.

Atm I'm creating own western map, but not weapons or something (I have 1 guy in team who can create apparel, it's IN005). And yes, I'm using many weapon mods that are listed up above. About 15-20 revolvers, ~ 5 rifles, ~ 5 shotguns. I'm not going to add anything now, cause mod list is already really big (unless there will be western-type mod, like Bnaes).

Ah ok, great to hear! Your way ahead, lol

I was wondering and if had been asked already what is the idea, or plan behind the mission in terms of like bandits, or enemies, will they

respawn randomly somewhere and just roam, or whats the general idea behind this?

Also:

Quote

There's also a working train station - travel from town to town, a sort of fast-travel.

From the first post description, is possible to have an actual working train to take you to a town or wherever in real time, i mean does the train actually work where

it can take you to your destination in real time or is the fast travel needed for that?

Idea atm is to clear the area from outlaws. To create enemy respawn I'll need to create a mod, because it's too complicated to create it with script to use specific gear for all of the outlaws.

Train works like fast travel. To create moving train I'll need to put a lot of work in it, it's not necessary atm. Right now I need to create map, and it's a hard part (critical errors weren't in my plans).

For your thread you quoted in your previous post:

https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/200916-too-many-objects-in-grid-rectangle/

You should have that moved here, and ask the guys here, as everything in this section is for maps, just a suggestion of course, ask a moderator to move your thread,

as imo you may get some views on your thread but no one but those who build, have built, and know about maps can help you.

https://forums.bistudio.com/forum/164-arma-3-terrain-builder/

edit 5min later....

Did a little research for you, and there was another person in that section who had same issue as yours:

https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/193510-too-many-objects-in-grid-rect-landgrid-1landgrid-1-error/

another thread 9 pages back:

https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/190344-too-many-objects-in-grid-xy-but-i-have-no-objects-on-map/

Not trying to tell you what to do but suggest searching first before creating a thread asking for help, most issues people have with whatever in the game, tools,

or whatever their trying to do, someone somewhere has asked the same questions as you in some instances, depends,

anyways i hope those two threads shed some light on your issue.

I've seen these threads. Tried to do things, that were said in there, but no results.
I'm gonna try some things actually, but don't know exactly, will it help.

Hi Igor, you still having issues with your map, or did you get it sorted out?

How are things coming along otherwise?

I've decided to take a little break and work for my own (building stuff and such). You know, you can't work on one and only thing for a long time. Don't think I'm going to end that!
If I won't have any progress on my map, I'm going to release mission on other map, with a full and lite version with better fps.

Hey guys! It's been a while! I've been thinking of some things and came up with new vision on my project. Since my map don't want to run, I've decided to create another one, but be very precise and accurate. I've came up with an idea of creating Arizona's Monument Valley. For now it's early wip, enjoy.

Me and my teammate IN005 are working on something bigger than just a mission sandbox. Anounce later I guess. Peace, cowboys  :unclesam:
