ACE 3 Extension Mod (Anim & Actions) + (Placeables)

Would you be able to also make this mod add functionality to the other animation mods such as Cookie's or Rismarck's poses? Or do they have to code the ACE or menu config themselves?

I could yea, but I want to make the overall Gameplay more immersive and not making screenshots easier to set up. Sorry, but I won't add this feature for now, I'm still working on a Standalone version and I will see what I can do afterwards.

As far as I know the mods you mentioned are static poses only, right? Most of these animations wouldn't fit into what I'm aiming to archive.

Yes those are STATIC poses and I love your ACE implementation. Thought it would be easier to setup poses for picture taking via ACE like your mod than to setup each unit in the editor. Real time 3d posing looks better than editor!

I understand your point and I will consider adding those in the future, but not for now. As I said this mod is mainly made to make the overall feeling while playing a mission etc more immersive and not purely to take screenshots.

Really liking these new gestures, but there are a few issues with the ace integration part of it, if you arrest someone that has surrendered with one of your gestures, they don't go into the ace arrested animation (which also means they cant move cause its the animation not the gesture) till after they cancel their gesture.

 

Ideally, your ace integration mod would:

1) Patch the ace arrested animation with your gesture (this would still need to support the escort option for various reasons)

2) Patch the ace surrender animation with your gestures, retaining the ace functionality of swapping the gestures over from surrendered to arrested when they get arrested.

3) The surrender option should remain in the same menu location as the normal ace one is, otherwise it's kinda confusing having 3 surrender options in 2 different places (2 like your two types they should just overwrite and add to the normal one/location)

Thanks for your Feedback. I know about this and I already setup the basics for a patch, but I'm currently not able to finish my work due to limited time.

I stated on Twitter already that I'm again working on my mods. Slowly but surely.
This error doesn't affect the game, it's just ugly 😄
So it's no priority at the moment.

I've considered making some of my projects open source, but it won't happen in the next few weeks.

I see you mentioned in Steam that I can add custom objects to Placeables. Can you please elaborate on how that's set up?

Update 29.06.2020

ACE 3 Extension (Gestures):

-added 28 Animations
-added Hotkeys to perform and cancel Animations
-added CBA settings
-restructured ACE menu
-merged KKA3 Gesture Pack into Ace Extension (Gestures)

Update available on Steam.

 

I will be updating the other Ace Extensions in the near future as well, I have over 25 new Animations planned for the Ace Extension (Animations and Actions), as well as some new Extensions.

Hey guys, what about making tactical animations for arma, since the ones in ace3 are a little bit rough and you guys are experts in animations

Like tactical hand signals?
It seems like they vary between countries, someone already asked me if I could make some for his german unit since those in ACE aren't accurate to what the Germans use.
I'll think about it, but as it would probably be quite a few it won't happen in the near future.

Yupp, can confirm - getting the same issue:

Server load stops with:

MovesType CfgMovesMaleSdr load time 4509.0 ms

As last message on my end. Server does not go live anymore.

The weird thing is that we're not using that mod even, just regular ACE (unless its been merged of late).
