Linux Server - no RCON connection possible anymore

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I have a weird issue since the update 1.64. I am not able to connecto via RCON (EPM RCon tool) to my server. Before the update it was working.

What I already tried:

- double checked the beserver.cfg

- downloaded the new beserver.so from BE

- ports are also opened properly

Does anyone know what could cause this or even experience the same? I am running the server on a rented Ubuntu vServer.

Thanks!

PHP-CLI also does not work.

Any others that use Linux with the same problem?

Before I did not put the path to battleye on the command line.

Put the beserver.cfg files and filters within the default directory that was:

... /server_root/battleye

Now the default location is /battleye/launch.

Putting the files in this directory everything works.

Note: Specifying the path to the previous location in the command line did not work, but in other directories operate normally.

I am also having this issue!

Does anybody know why it's not possible to connect to BattlEye after the 1.64 update?

I'm running linux and I have all the required info in my beserver.cfg and the beserver.so

I get this in my rpt:

13:17:45 BattlEye Server: Initialized (v1.213)

@DarkPhoinix how did you solve this? I'm trying to setup BE again but it just doesn't want to work.

I got just as you the two folders with beserver.cfg and beserver.so, what is that 2nd BEServer.cfg you have?

So did you ever find a fix to this? I have just got a dedicated linux server and the rcon files turns active but I cannot connect using epm?

Probably a different issue than back in 2016.
Recently (Several months ago) Battleye switched to a seperate configurable RCON port.

Has the same issue with a 1.84 Linux server. No any port restrictions but still can not connect with a RCon.

Tried a different ports - the same.

I've created beserver.cfg file in a battleye folder, copy of it in a battleye/launch folder (this one has been renamed while server starting to beserver_active_XXXXXXX.cfg, so I can suppose what it's used and depath correctly configured). beserver.cfg file contains RConPort 23006 and RConPassword mypass in it. But I can't connect ot server nor from the localhost not from any other network.
No iptables or any other FW on a host machine
