LOL, well yeah, they are drawings. They artist could of just gotten it wrong.

Believe it or not, it was a typo, in a book I've had for about 20 years smile.gif

Correct model is Yak38. The Yak36, I've just discovered, was a VTOL testbed, NATO code Freehand.
