No, PLAN Marines are a new set of units.  PLAN Marines use all-black uniforms.

A few last-minute config updates... I'm working on missing stringtable entries that may not make it into the pending update.  We expect a minor update shortly after this major update, and those may have to wait until then.

I found all the unused uniforms and created a function to randomize them and retain their gear.  Not sure if this will make it into the big release or will be released shortly after.  The randomization can be disabled by a mission maker by adding a missionNamespace variable:

"VME_SR" = FALSE

I won't get into how to add a variable to the missionNamespace as that is well covered in the BIKI...

 

Since these pics I changed the red flag to "subdued" colors to match the rest.  There are multiple uniforms for all, and also multiple vests and headgear for the Forest faction.

Also added the new MEC (Multicam) uniform pattern, based on the default A3 multicam uniform... again, unsure this will make it into the impending release or shortly thereafter...

Good luck. I check this mod every day to see if it's been updated. It's a lot more satisfying than fighting with or against Russians or Arabs all the time. Hope the new update comes out before my hair turns gray. :don11:

@hcpookie did you guys confirm the sound bug when using Zeus for the ZUBR and the Type 22 boats? I haven't seen any mention of it in the changelog since I posted about it back last December? Just wanted to make sure it was still on the radar for the update.

ZUBR engine sound conditions means it only makes the engine sound when engine is on.

BUT even when only one is spawned in the game you can hear it as Zeus all over the map. It only goes away when you are not in Zeus; not sure what the issue is but I can record that for you and show it.

Is there are any plans on changing the PLAN , PLAAF and PLARF uniforms to arma 3 standarts in this update ?

Hey, I love the mod but I have two issues. 


First is your helicopters don't show in Zeus, and the troops won't set off any trip mines for some reason.

@sershant83 come on bud, rule no.1 of the forums is literally "don't ask if a mod is dead/when updates are coming".

Not only is it rude but it can put people off working on stuff.

Guys I have it on very good authority that things will be updated just as soon as "2 weeks" from now...:don15:

 

Seriously though lets show some patience with these guys that are taking their own personal time and working on this mod for us to enjoy. They very well could pull support and only use it internally if they so desired but they are wanting to share it. So @sershant83 take a few minutes and read back on all the posts that have been made over the last several months to over a year and then ask yourself that question before you post it in here again.

Update will be ready "Soon".  Real Life is keeping people busy. 

 

Since it isn't under my Steam account I can't simply upload the updates myself.  To repeat what I've said before the mod updates appear to be complete and we are waiting for the team to finish QA and upload.  When they get a chance to compile and upload the nearly 2 GB of content (1.86 GB) then it will be published.  Not sooner.  When that will be depends on Real Life, any additional bugs that may get discovered, and pretty much everything else you can imagine.  Certainly hope it will be before the holidays but who can say.  We're doing this update in favor of "getting it right" instead of "releasing on time".  Fingers crossed we didn't introduce any new bugs while fixing all the old ones!

 

Be patient, it will be worth the wait!  :f:

 

Edit to add - when I complete work in my Soviet AF pack there will be more air assets for PLA.  The Su-27 (aka J-11), the Su-30MKK (aka J-16), the An-26 (aka Y-7) and some other goodies will be available in the PLA faction.  I may spin those off into a "standalone" version so the PLA mod won't need to have my other mod installed as well.  Not sure about that yet.

Good news, the update is pending!  There are a few things that need to be worked out behind the scenes, but we are closer to release now more than ever... stay tuned...!!!

Bugs I've found so far:

- Z-19 landing gear model bugged
- J-20 damaging itself when on ground/taxiing (Was a bug in previous version)
- JH-7A damaging itself when on ground/taxiing (Was a bug in previous version)

- Y-9, KJ200, KJ500 landing gear not touching ground.
