They're still working on Apex; since such retextures are more time-consuming than they are difficult it seems likely they're slowly working through vanilla A3 content, and happened to work on csat first. I would be surprised if they weren't all completed by the final release.

Is this a different NATO group?  CSAT makes perfect sense since its a different division based on the fact that the aircraft cockpits are in mandarin versus previous in russian.

Well the bluefor weapons at least have gotten new camo's, so my assumption is that trend will continue.

Seems the NATO prowler is clipping with the ground - wheels are always just below the surface - not by much, only about a couple of inches.

it's a heavy plane, consider it tire deformation ;)

I have to disagree. The camo has nothing to do with the faction. Every army in this world has different camos for different terrains. For the NATO Pacific units I'd really like to see some sort of Tropentarn

They only do what they need for the campaign.  If something isn't used in the campaign it doesn't get done, or gets done way later.

Team switch causes vectoring to go OFF in VTOLs even tho the AI is turned off on playable characters

The NATO Gunship VTOL really needs to be fixed, right now it is unuseable. It needs a few things to work properly.

 

1: Give it a laser designator and make it able to lock onto that

2: Stabilize its sights like a UAV, or at least turn the tank-style stabilizer it has off, trying to stay on target when orbiting is a pain.

3: Increase gun elevation downwards so you can hit the center of your orbit at 1500 meters altitude and 1250 meters orbit radius.

4: Make it ignore hills when orbiting, so the AI stops flailing around. You don't need to do ground following at over 1000 meters altitude.

 

The stabilization and gun elevation are the most critical things.

Water Scooter (Jet-Ski) is performing extremely weird. It should be more like a fast Speedboat. But currently, it performs like a souped up Rescue Boat, which feels extremely weird.

IIRC, 1000m range and 500m altitude worked just fine for me, at least as far as being able to elevate the gun goes (putting rounds on target is a different matter...).

i find the V-44 Gunship constantly approaches the target head on  like a forward firing helo/plane would and then bank the opposite direction of their guns out of the target area. Every so often they will fire a few rounds but thats about it. Would like to see them approach with its guns in mind and circle out and around the target.

Don't give it straight "attack" orders, it has to be set to loiter in a fixed distance around the target. See my post above for an example altitude/distance combination. It would be great if attack orders would do that automatically, but it's a very peculiar setup.

every time i tell the gunship to loiter it circles with the guns pointing the wrong way...

Here are some suggestions for vehicle animations, bugs, ...

1. Offroad: switch between aiming and not aiming isnt smooth and looks strange

2. Prowler: Driver arm disappears

3. Jeep: rearview mirror has clipping issues

4. Jeep: No turn in animation

5. Jeep: if turn out the character is levitating

Squad XML issues for MANY vehicles that have prevailed since they were implemented. Highly annoying.

 

These vehicles all fail to reverse the squad logo for the starboard (RIGHT) side of the vehicle.

Squad.xmls will become more important once Arma 3 Units is officially released. Thus, I'd personally would like to see a fix for that, too.

Agreed. Bit annoying that Units is being pushed as this big thing, while the in-game existing system to actually USE these logos properly is faulty.

If you double click the waypoint, you can choose which direction it should turn.

I've noticed that the Y-32 Xi'an and the V-44 Blackfish Gunship don't have the necessary sensor pods to look through in first person, The position of the view is Either directly under the gun or in front of it. You should be realistically looking through a sensor pod not an invisible camera under the turret... I've also found the same problem with the AH-99 Blackfoot...

It would be great to eventually see an FFV position for the passenger seat of the Jet-ski (Water scooter).

 

As it is now it merely serves as a 'water taxi', which is fine, however the inclusion of said FFV would open up some interesting scenarios, and give the jet ski some form of attack/defensibility.

 

Mechanically: Firing over the drivers shoulder when FFV is active, then have the turn out action wheel the passenger around in his seat to fire to the rear.

 

Some black/camo versions would be great also.
