You got it to work on two computers PuFu, man you are a freaking miracle worker. But man look at that second image it is absolutely amazing. What are the settings you are running at?

how long did it take in the past for steam to resolve it then?

If my memory doesn't fail me, few days.  :unsure:

i'd say most are enterable, to some degree anyways. the taller ones are either not, or just the ground floor, or some stairs. for a lot there is a connection between sidewalk level and top floor (internal or via an external fire escape stair)

Why is PuFu on there? It's blowing my mind!

I'm sure there was an option with a spray can you can create graffiti of your own in one of the addons, maybe ACE

maybe this help to figure out the size of landmass, since it has the grid

 

 

i'd say most are enterable, to some degree anyways. the taller ones are either not, or just the ground floor, or some stairs. for a lot there is a connection between sidewalk level and top floor (internal or via an external fire escape stair)

Thank you for the pictures. What are your settings? The quality looks a lot better compared to the ones taken on your other pc.

Ok, apparently my script can only calculate continuous areas.

So I rescaled the map, connected the islands with 20m wide lines and tried again.

99 km2 (excluding some tiny rocks i didn't bother to connect).

And there's 173 km of shoreline!

 

I'll leave for good is this turns out to be wrong again...

Hey guys.

I've been following the forums for details on Tanoa, can't get it to load on my own Arma 3 game right now sadly :( But I can contribute this little image that I created comparing Tanoa to Altis in terms of size and scale. Hopefully someone with photoshop can overlay the landmasses to get a better understanding but I am terrible at PS and can only use paint, so this'll do.

That is more or less what it should be (keep in mind that this is extremly depending on how precise that script tracks the shoreline).

We already knew that tanoa will be smaller than Altis. Not to mention all expansion terrains in previous Arma games were smaller then main game terrains...

Also it looks like most of the islands are within a small distance of each other... How long until we see a sniper taking out their target on the mainland, but firing from one of the smaller archipelagos?  :D

 I like that it is bringing up options for SDV`s and divers but  more gear for diving would be welcome etc.

Pros for me

Island looks a beautiful. the euro truck video did great at showing it off.

New water makes it so much nicer.

Water insertions gonna be a hoot.

Subs and wet suits being used finally getting their proper showtime.

So many cool scenarios in the jungle settings.

Cons.

Not a fan of what seems like a majority nice new non enter buildings. could be wrong but hey it was established this was going to be the case.

houses having the shutter windows. can you shoot out from them? Assuming you can even enter the houses .

Overall with some new vehicles, weapons, units,can't argue with the dlc price. Apex here I comes.

Sweet, the environment seems quite believable, if that's the right word, I hope we will see the ambient civilian module again  ^_^

 

 That bridge gives me ptsd (pre-traumatic-stress-syndrome)  as far as ordering my AI around.
