I highly doubt BI would go near it with a ten foot pole...

For good reasons, yeah. Too many western countries (their old leaders who probably aren't gamers) out there, who would love to see a teletubby gaming land. Fortunately there is enough space under their distorted radar.

I'm not a big fan of much gore in games, I don't want that much "reality", but hey, everybody as he wishes. I'm thinking of Lifeleak. Sometimes I cannot resist watching things there. Then I usually regret it.

Well i feel like arma is some demo of VBS after watching the movie - but dismemberment from arma 2 would be nicely welcome. For now heads is OK, but in the future you could look at the code from COSLX (A2) to see how they done this in A2. Overall guys without leg or hand should scream like in VBS, right now they whisper something like they are hidding before their wifes. There is one mod for screaming :
http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=28888
But look - its 3 mods/addons now, this all should be in game already.

Is it possible  in the future  add in your mod  support for hands and feet?

Nope, unless Bohemia changes their engine to support like adding in human support for hideSelection with https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/hideSelection- that'd be splendid but until that happens I wouldn't expect "proper" limb gore in ArmA 3

OO OO  any plans for other limbs to explode from grenades tanks etc.

or if the explosion is powerful enough to render them bits of body parts on the floor with bloody details and guts ;)

Did you lower the caliber requirement using the module?

I don't have plans for other limbs at the moment as it isn't possible to do them properly in ArmA yet (read my previous posts why) :P

Nope, never heard of it. Definitely didn't include it in my trailer video posted on the first post and certainly did not recommend it to be run alongside my head gore mod in that same post.

...

...

Ok, serious time :D. I know the blood lust/splatter mod and Zooloo certainly did some great work on the blood splatters but unfortunately it is still SP-only.

The reason why I released this mod in the first place is because I developed the head popping originally for the zombies & demons mod and I got a lot of requests to make it work on humans as well :P

Either way I look at this as my personal little side project and I won't be integrating it with any other mods other than the Z&D mod :P

Next week I'm actually releasing another mod which adds a feature that I think should've been in ArmA 3 in the first place, and I think a bunch of people would agree.

Anyway, thanks for the great feedback everyone ;)

Kind regards,

Sanchez

Thanks Sanchez -so many people have this knee jerk reaction that because Mod A does something similarly awesome as Mod B that they must unite!! Silly as often there are different goals, aims, timelines or just plain like to have control of their own work. This does go swimmingly with Blood Lust declaring that the Golden Age of Gore has finally arrived! (not too be confused with Golden Age of Porn *cough*)

Also kinda cruel to not drop a hint on that upcoming feature..

I just tested with the RHS m240 vs CSAT soldiers using ACE 3.5.1.0 in both Advanced & Basic medical systems. It works just fine, the only bug is that sometimes units' heads burst when they are unconscious instead of dead, will fix that for next update.

Are you sure you don't have some other mod running in the background?

If able to a repro mission would be great.

It may indeed come as a shock to the patient if his head explodes when unconscious !

Yeah I had already modified my first page yesterday to allow mirrors by PWS and ArmAholic :P I use PWS myself so it'd be great if it can get up there ;)

Hi is there a way to get this to self init as in if you want to use it in official campaign?

It is self initialized but in the official campaign you'd have to deal with the default settings which are:

Caliber bigger or equal than .408 triggers head pop

100% chance of head popping (im changing this default value in the next version)

5 seconds of head gib

and helmets don't matter

Hope that helps ;)

Kind regards,

Sanchez

Hi, I get the mod to work fine for all units, except the Zombies. Their heads won't pop, no matter what I try. I tested i with only the head_gore mod and the Zombies loaded as well as with bloodlust, with and without cba. With and without placing the module with all possible caliber settings. All with the same result, no joy. All mods are loaded trough the Steam workshop. Anyone that could help me with this?

I've added a check to make sure the mod wouldn't work on the zombie mod ;)

This mod was originally made for the Zombies & Demons mod and thus this feature is natively built in. In the next version of Z&D you'll be able to see that.

To make sure the mod doesn't conflict, I disabled its functionality on the zombies. There's no way around this, you'll have to wait for the update of Z&D.

Me and Ryan have both kinda been mixed up and busy but I reckon the next update will be within two weeks or less. (We're also working on a new model).

Kind regards,

Sanchez
