jgalla5400 12 Posted April 26, 2016 Hi, Since the latest update to 1.58 I cant stay in game for more than a few mins without getting crashed back to desktop with these errors First one is D3D Error - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED since 1.58 update - then when you OK that you get the 2nd error The exception unknown software exeption (0x0000dead) occurred in the application at location 0x000000007541DAD8. I have done all the obvious - Reinstall Arma 3 - / Mods / Start without mods / Reinstall latest graphics drivers for both the Intel 4000HD & Nvidia 670M - reverted to old drivers etc and no joy. All was working fine prior to the upgrade of Arma 3 and all other games I have tested run fine. Its causing me a major headache as I also admin a hosted A3 server and I can't get in to test anything after I make changes OR help players PLEASE HELPPPPPP :) I have added links below to the errors I see as well as the A3 troubleshooting report / Mini Dump DXDIAG output etc. Laptop is running W10 64bit - Its an I7 with 20GB ram - No other PC issues. Hope with all I have provided you can shed some light :- https://www.dropbox.com/s/uy3mrb33lfz0uku/2nd%20error.JPG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/xev2hrajf4a8jjs/arma3_2016-04-25_19-11-11.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/s661708urkyyi46/ArmaReport_Log_20160426T011849_jonathang.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ly6b6h7hpraux4/d3d.JPG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivg1wlakolj0s0d/DxDiag.txt?dl=0
jgalla5400 12 Posted April 26, 2016 Update on this for anyone else seeing the issue - I have rolled back to an Nvidia Driver from 4/8/2015 350.12 is the version and had zero crashes at all (played over 2 hours non stop no issue and high FPS)- Its weird as I always keep my drivers up to date and was using the most recent driver prior to the A3 1.58 update coming out and then I saw crashes so I presume something in the latest build code doesn't like something in the newer nvidia drivers. Links can be found on here http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-350-12-whql-driver-download.html I am running Win 10 64 bit on an MSI GT70 and this has worked fine for me (used the 64 bit notebook one) Hopefully this helps someone
