many peoples ask to me about "F-23/XF-23 project is dead?" or "do you planning to make the F-22?", and here is some news.

 

- Hallucination war project is halted due to technology limitation about Unmanned aircraft - maybe can continue when clear the limitation.

- So, F-23/XF-23 is change to the standalone project. and that reason, XF-23 was canceled. (maybe someone can make that after release the F-23)

- F-22 is now on the schedule, with F-23A Grey Ghost. (thanks the my friend who contribute the F-22 and YF-23)

- more information is will be update.

please note that planes in USAF/USN that starts with "X" means "Tester/Research plane" , and those plane that's good to go for a large rate production will change to it's own designation letter (like X-35 -> F-35) ;

and "Y" refers to "Prototype" that will compete with other plane for a contract. (like YF-17 and YF-18)

 

and also for the record, there isn't a "XF" designation for any plane in USA yet, there's only "YF" 

XF isn't a choice for vehicle designation

XF-23 was fictional based on YF-23, not real thing. anyway that is already gone right now.

I'm still more excited for the F-23. Despite the XF being sacked, I hope the black widow skin does make an appearance. If you're looking for squadrons to skin and don't want to repeat F-22 ones, might I suggest F-15C squadrons?

This will be rad lol. From what I understand the Black Widow II crushed the competition, and then some political agendas pushed the Raptor into production.

While the YF-23 an excellent aircraft, cost, the fact that LM had a near production aircraft ready to go,  and it fit the requirements with less risk. They also had issues with the missile bays and a redesign would've come at a severe weight penalty.

Firewill Have i ever told you that i love you? You have excellent taste in aircraft. The YF-23 should have won the program and i think the airforce is seeing that now look at the F35 its a slow turd in the air but sports a super computer under the hood. The YF23 had a far more advanced computer system than the YF-22 not to mention it had a much higher supercruise speed around 1.8 mach if i remember correctly and it was more stealthy. I honeslty think it was to advanced for its time and since no other country at the time had a program to compare they went with the less advance jet due to loosing one in combat would give away many more trade secrets.  I am so happy to see you working on these two planes any thing you touch turns to gold in the air!!!!!  Please keep up the good work and thank you so much for what you have already done for this community!

recently i'm back from sickbed because some health problem

but for now i'm fine and continue to the work.

 

cockpit is MFD, adjust position, rudder pedal, HUD model and pilot animation remaining.
