Problem with creating short- cut's to mods...

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone...

I recently decided to reinstall Arma 2 and Arma OA after a longer break.

For the first time I used the Steam - Version of those games and I instantly did run into some problems...

In the past, I always used to modify my game- shortcuts to load any mod I wished by just double- clicking on said shortcuts.

After me "updating" to the steam version, this seems no longer possible...

I did create a working shortcut on my desktop with the following target:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -nosplash

It's working just fine...

But as soon as I try to add:

-mod= @Pacific;@CBA (for example...)

The whole thing resets to Arma 2 OA, with the content of Arma 2 missing...

If I do manually start Hell in the Pacific and CBA, they do start just fine...

Really need help here...

Thanx.

Two things, you can try, but iam not sure if they help

1. @CBA_CO is the only CBA for Arma2+Arma2OA

2.@CBA_CO should be first mod in the line. -mod=@CBA_CO;@Pacific;@whatevermod;..........................................................

1thing that will surely help:

Use "Play with Six"

Mods do work... it's just those shortcuts I can't get to work for the live of me...

I cant help you with shortcuts because i never used them. I Use PWS since i started using mods.  I just left here what i know can cause various issues, like using CBA or CBA A2 for A2CO, and improper Order of mods in command line.

If you use "Play With Six", and setup it properly, You dont have to use those shortcuts at all. You make your collections of mods inside PWS, and then when starting a game, you just choose apropriate collection, and start the game. Thats only thing i can suggest, and iam sure it works, because i use it for years.

Try removing the space between "=" and "@" maybe?
