Recommended Posts

General Informations:

Dynamic Air Combat Missions is just a random Air missions generator, which means that there is base of events randomly spawned over Altis. There is always different location and enemy team size, so you can pracitce different variants all the time. This topic will be updated with new informations & events/features list as my work moving forward. If you have any missions ideas, feel free to discuss.

Situation:
There are 5 bases over Altis. Main airport, where you're wokring at and 4 smaller bases - North, South ,East, West base (each small base has it's own defence system - AA/Tanks). At the beggining you're starting with all 5 bases under NATO control. During gameplay CSAT will try to take control over 4 smaller bases, if they succeed, they will get their own defence at taken base location (also the marker on map will change to CSAT flag and you'll lose points). You can gain experience points by performing tasks and lose them if you crash your aircraft.

I think, I'll have to make dialog menu to give users more options.

Anyone else having trouble getting the F-18 to spawn?  I'm not sure what could be causing it, but something is definitely not working - I'll try with a blank mod base as I have my amalgamation of SP mods enabled as well as the various jets.

Well, I've just downloaded it from your link and it works fine in scenario mode/editor. Check if you're not missing any file from this addon or maybe other addon is blocking something in F/A18.

I think, I'll have to make dialog menu to give users more options.

An options menu/window just like RobJ uses on his "Pilot [arma3 plane] on Missions" to request missions/customize parameters would be awesome! Sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes to summon the task I´ve requested or sometimes not at all... if a previous task doesn´t complete, could it prevent an extra / simultaneous task?

@Bidius, must be something wrong on your end, just played with Black Wasp and everything was fine!

cheers!

An options menu/window just like RobJ uses on his "Pilot [arma3 plane] on Missions" to request missions/customize parameters would be awesome!

At the momment I'm having fun working on g-lock system and random turbulences, but I'll probably add some menu in future.

Sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes to summon the task I´ve requested or sometimes not at all.

At Infantry task (destroy laser target) there is just too many "sleeps" that I forgot to delete (I'll work to delete them) and there may be also delay at CSAT Tanks  attack since they are flying on parachute (I just enjoy this so I won't change this part - you just have to wait till they land :P ).

if a previous task doesn´t complete, could it prevent an extra / simultaneous task?

It shouldn't start new task, unless you have asked twice for mission (i'll need to block it anyways). < --- Edit: this is now fixed.

I don't know if someone is still playing this, but I'm still having fun working on it so here you go... new update with Pilot Mission Menu:

- You can access menu via scroll action menu or by pressing left windows key.

- You can now select jets and missions from menu.

- You can enable/disable dynamic weather.

- You can repair/rearm your jet via Pilot menu, only if you're on ground and close to service area.

- You can skip time (1h).

- Pilot informations moved from hint to Pilot menu.

I´m still playing it regularly (and welcoming all updates) I´ll take a look at the new menu ASAP =)

On a sidenote (suggestion) : you could add suport to RHS planes (cus you know, RHS is quite popular), F15E (you´ve added the C but not the ground attack variant E) and USAF planes too, and maybe use the Flanker as AI enemy (to enhance the challenge, as all those modded planes eat the Buzzard and Neophron as breakfast on dogfights), so this mission is a flyboy dream come true lol

Cheers!

I've added only 1 varriant of F15, because you can easily rearm it at hangar using it's dialog menu. For sure I've forgot about USAF planes, thanks for reminding!

I've some ideas to add additional missions for users with mods (like usaf/rhs), but I'll need to find way that it won't affect players without mods since it's my main concept that you can play DCAM without mods.

Thanks for testing!

Yeah, but the F-15C is exclusively a fighter, so no multirole or cas missions, which are fitted perfectly for F-15E (which I did yesterday, requested multirole mission and spawned the E using VVS, was a blast)

I don´t know advanced scripting, but If you script something like (stop the B2 to nuke kavala) and condicionate this task to be presented only if usaf mod is loaded, it wouldn´t make usaf a requirement... I´ve played missions that added optional tasks based on optional mods, it is feaseable (sorry I can´t recall asap, if I stumble on them I´ll link ya) but this DACM is incrediable already, great job, riten!

cheers!

I was thinking about it today and I'll probably add one more list next to aircrafts list so player will be able to add jet class name for enemies. You'll be able to fight with anything you want.

Added option to customize enemy jets class names (it works for air-air missions).

- All you have to do is select jet name on "your plane" listbox and then add it to "enemy planes" via "<<" button, you can also delete enemy jets using ">>" button.

- If "enemy planes" box is empty, then script will add custom jet names when aa mission script starts

- if you add more then one jet name, then script will choose randomly 1 classname when aa mission script starts.

- if you change enemy planes list during aa mission, then changes will be available at the next aa mission script start.

Have fun :p

Dude this is pretty freakin awesome, I really have to agree with the guy above though. I'd love to see a Strike Eagle in place of the standard Eagle. Also, are there any plans for a multiplayer compatible version?

Secondly, the hotpad is kind of awkwardly placed where I have to either tow the aircraft into it or I can't accurately re-arm and refuel. Not unless I'm just being weird.

Anyway, stellar work my dude.

Another quite big update:

- Added Virtual Traffic (beta). NATO Patrol squadron support soon, at the momment they're just patroling without ammo.

- Added startup/landing request
* You can't run engine without contacting ATC/asking for permission (you'll be warned if you just run engine and stopped if move).
* You won't be able to taxi if NATO Patrol squadron is just starting. You'll have to wait few seconds.
* You can't land without permission. You'll be warned if you fly too close to Altis Air Base and shooted down for landing without permission.
* Added Player random Callsign (You can check it at pilot menu).
* Marker added on landing phase with player callsign and height/speed.

- Added USAF Planes (tagged with "USAF" on list)
* F35
* A10
* F22

- Some tasks fixes (more soon)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@us6f_ccs

- You can use service menu to customize your F15, there is no need to add each one on list.

- I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it works on multiplayer, but I never say never.

- I'll add advanced repair system soon.

Thanks.

Riten, If you don´t wanna have more than 1 version of the Eagle, so use the F-15E or K, cus both can have AA and AGMs, meanwhile the C is air superiority only (can load dumb bombs, but they aren´t worth on Arma3 without CCIP)

Nice updates thou, they enhance the immersion a lot... I wonder if you could add compactibility to POOK´s SAM mod, they´re quite challeging to fight =)

cheers!

Awesome idea for the mission.. But in my case i just had one mission three days ago, and since then.. nothing spawns or happens in the game.. or just at the beginning i receive a mission and then it auto-completes itself.. I reinstalled the mission both from armaholic and from steam.. played vanilla and modded and nothing helps... any idea why it might be happening?

Thanks!)

Could you tell me more (step by step) what you've done when you started game?

- Are you sure you have selected kind of missions ONCE? Also what kind of missions have you selected?

- Do you remember which mission was it? There is always task info.

- Are you playing it via scenarios mode?

- How long did you wait since first mission "auto-completed"?

@corporal_lib[br]

I'll think about POOK´s SAM mod haven't seen it before.

Yes!

Something that is desperately needed to expand the usefulness of aircraft.

Thanks for your efforts.
