Script bound?

Two questions, 1.) Would I be able to bind a script for jumping to what backpack the unit has attached? Backpack A allows jump X, while Backpack B allows jump C, while BackPack C doesn't allow jumping.

2.) So I have a thing where I want to use Man class for mechs, instead of the tanks. I want to see if I can script it that when you embark it changes the class of the object from tank, mountable, to man, and when you get out, it will change from man class to tank?
