i patched my JSRS to 1.3 but trying the guns in the Editor, i cant tell if the mod works or not lol

PS: the new sounds only affect the base sounds from arma, no mod sounds are being changed right?

Only vanilla weapons are covered by this mod. As other mods content comes with their own sounds.

:D Another good way to check-stand by a car and shoot it.you will hear the cool impact sounds of JSRS straight away. Also-sonic cracks are very different.

Also the sound of just walking/jogging about, since A2 i've always loved how you can hear the sounds of your chestrig and gear bouncing around and the sounds of your uniform. Fantastic creation

Have some folks inside a house. Keep yourself outside. Send a team in. If it sounds like a fucking Michael Mann movie, the mod is working.

Jesus, I'm almost certain that this is not a positive thing, right? :D

Beside the sound effects, you should have a little icon in the main menu that says JSRS if you move over it with the mouse ;)

Actually I'm experiencing some weird crackling sounds while playing. I guess its because of the new ogg file format. Hope that can be fixed somehow...

Sorry if it was asked before, but what does "reflector" mean in this context?

Environmental Reflections, like urban areas reflection, forest and so on. Kinda like the tails, but its a shorter version of direct reflection before the tails are audible.

Great work LordJarhead!

One thing that I am probably getting wrong and/or is not that important by now, since the Apex content will not be in the next release yet:

You mentioned that you've added new sounds for the SPAR-16, but I did not see that new sounds for the SPAR-17 have/will be added as well.

Yeah the 17 is using the 16 sounds for now. But I think about making a long barrel SPAR17 sound as well then.

Btw, sounds weird, but I set up a Patreon account for anyone who likes to support me.

https://www.patreon.com/LordJarhead?ty=h

I set it up for any kind of support that would really help to establish this 'hobby' to a new level! For myself, I would like to educate myself more, get better hardware and software, and maybe find and buy decent but expensive libraries that would flow right back into JSRS.

With supporting this, you not only help me get along with this hobby, but also support the community as I'm sure that with the support, more things and even better audio in Arma is possible!

I really like what I do and it would be really great to be able to effort more and better libraries.

Thanks, and sry for the awkward kinda begging :D

Thanks people!

Ps: forget about the Crackling noises I experienced today, I found a solution. Just had to edit all 17.500 sound files, but nooooo problemo :P

quick question. What is the DL routine now? Which "full" DL do i need and which are the incremental update ones? I'm a bit confused right now ;) sorry

A full version contains all the files and contents of the mod, so basically it is the mod. The updates are there for these Full versions. So you need the updates to... update the mod.

When 1.4 is available every other download gets deleted and the new full version is the only you'll need. So basically you could wait for the weekend when I release 1.4. And that's the only download you have to make then. No updates, no extra downloads, no difficult bullsh*t :)
