LordJarhead 1721 Posted June 12, 2016 Well. As far as I know, the sound effects are defintely local (client-side). The server complains about the sound only because "there is no such file!", and only happens for special cases. So far all of the cases are: 1. Weapon Reloading sound. 2. Weapon Dry sound. 3. Weapon Change Mode sound. 4. Mines / Explosives Activate sound. 5. Mines / Explosives Deactivate sound. Such spam goes away as long as "there is such a file", for example, when JSRS is loaded on server (our group did this to get rid all of RPT spams). And if I understand it right, it doesn't even matter if the sounds are 0.1kb dummies with no actual sound wave at all. Basically, just create a PBO with all necessary sound packed together, and call that minimum (dummy) files needed to load by server admins to get rid of JSRS rpt spams so that people can enjoy great sounds or a seperate addon that does the JSRS public server rpt support , etc. Doesn't hurt to have a try. LJ With correct names and the correct file paths. Yes. LJ, you may first try putting all current dragonfyre_p_*.pbo files into the server-side mod load list to test the theory. I was attempting to make your mod work and I kept running into incorrect sounds. So I started to try and fix it myself by reinstalling multiple times but I didn't get any luck. There was a list of things that I fixed and will release some time soon, but I understand you having trouble installing the entirely? Put the @DragonFyre folder from the mod into your main ArmA directory. You need the 1.0 full version which is a rather big download. Put that into you Arma directory, then download 1.2, do the same and overwrite any existing files, then do the same with update 1.3. After that, you go into your Arma launcher and choose mods and select the @DragonFyre folder in you Arma directory. Done. LJ 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And also, do I just add the files directly to the Arma 3 directory? So like, version 1, version 2, and version 3 in all different folders? Or do I just overwrite the files for 1.0? Then download ver 1.2.Copy all the files inside 1.2 and paste them into 1.0 so that they overwrite-it will ask "do you wish to overwrite the files".Say yes.Then download ver 1.3 and do the same thing with those files-copy and paste them into ver.10 again.Then, what you are left with is the most complete version of the mod available at the moment. Would someone, some admin, please load the DragonFyre EDEN Server Side Files on the server so you could test if these RPT spams stop? In the words of gpgpgpgp: These are minimum (dummy) files needed to load by server admins to get rid of JSRS rpt spams. Its a separate add-on that does the JSRS public server rpt support. Without running the server side files, can confirm .rpt entries, (quick test was just MX firing and reload sounds). With the server files enabled these entries were NOT present. Looks like you've cracked it pal, i will try and check some of the others tonight. But i cant see any reason it wouldn't have fixed those as well. Who knows how they sound afterwards... But honestly they are all covered already since day one :) still have to make the reloading animation sounds and then maybe tweak a little something here and there. Vehicles are mostly covered by the end of the week. Only problem is that they are not final yet and there might be a lot of cfg changes coming my way that will prevent my cfg's from working...
