[IceBreakr/IBIS] Isla Abramia for A3

Recommended Posts

LOL, that made me laugh :) thanks :)

Well thing is... I can fix map for 2 more years, but there is so much work on other projects like Tonal Reloaded, Rowalla, Balkania, Jade Groove for A3, etc etc... I really need to update this lighting stuff and move to new projects!

Isla Abramia has been updated to 1.66 in order to work with 1.60+ patch of A3.

  • fixed skies & lighting that got wrecked with release of official patch 1.60+
  • replaced a texture that BIS removed in 1.60 (for one of the winter trees)

Icebreakr, I know you hate bugs, however in my short time checking out the terrain today I noticed some buildings that are partially in the ground.

I'm still getting the missing ibr plants bleh bleh bleh message. Is that on my side?

Got Cup terrains and core at 1.2.0 and abramia 1.66 on the apex sneak preview build.

Other than that I really enjoyed that map in the past, such a nice change to the more popular maps (desert/afghanistan themed).

Checking out lingor 3.66 now.

Cheers

Found some bugs on the airfields with a concrete runway,

This was on the island on the East side, the one that only has a runway + Military base on it: http://imgur.com/a/dQIma

And this one on the main airfield in the bottom-centre of Abramia (looks like the number is upside down): http://imgur.com/2CUiIwY

Avoid using 1.66.... what is even worse than sunken buildings and unusable bridges is... it seems my P: drive got borked up and I lost all the source files for Abramia, \source folder dissapeared on last compile... checking backups...

Oh man.... I  hope you find it in a backup.

Well... so far I've been able to retrieve most of the data, including object placement. I will hopefully get help in the evening to assemble sat & mask together from \layers folder... I hate BIS tools, did I mention that?

Glad to hear your "backup" is mostly intact.  I had a RAID drive go out on me, and perhaps 1/4 of all my work was porked.  It all appeared intact, but when I tried to open it the tools would crash.  SOOO glad I made an offline backup.  :D  Backups are something most people (including myself) never think about until you need it.

Hello my dear friend,

I've noticed an issue on your last version of Abramia regarding bridges. It seems some of them have changed their altitude sitting.

List :
020 030
035 017
037 026
082 006

It would be so nice to be make a quick fix because it complicates too much things.

Thanks a lot guy

As I've stated before - avoid using latest 1.66 because the source files got lost and wrp produced serious height bugs all over the map - with bridges and buildings, also trees... I'm in process of retrieved data back from backups and with help of talented community (s.e. Pennyworth) but problem is that I've encoded latest pbos and retrieved such data is much harder. Please wait on v1.7...

Sorry I'm not english native and didn't understood precisely what was the loss he mentionned !

A post in red big letter stating "Please stop reporting bugs until July the 15 or 20th because of a data loss - Recovery in progress to hotfix last update issues !" would have been usefull !! ;D

Thanks for the update Icebreakr!

Just wanted to check to see of the placement of these buildings was intentional...

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=728551889

The taller ones stairs are facing the back of the smaller ones leaving very little walking room between. Again I just wanted to ask! (And as I post this I forgot the name of the city it's in.)
