I paid the money to get a tour of the island on a Marshall...

They drive those narrow mountain roads very well!

New TOA2 MP Event up for this Thursday Euro evening!

Isla Abramia is coming this week with final fixes and version 1.0. Along with FAP Units v1.0 that provide factions/armies for my islands.

Draw distance of grass seems very short. Is it an engine limitation?

Yep I wanted to say exactly the same thing. The draw distance on the grass is fairly low. It reminds me of the Hindu Kush map, I really need to get close to the ground to see the grass.

That can be fixed. No prob.

But it's wierd since Altis has even shorter distances?

Altis:
clutterDist = 90;
noDetailDist = 65;
fullDetailDist = 10;

Abramia:
clutterDist = 120;
noDetailDist = 85;
fullDetailDist = 30;

Well I don't know, in Altis and Stratis I don't have such problems with grass.

Altis and Stratis have fairly strong "middle distance" textures that roughen up the areas that are too far out to have clutter or parallax applied (which means the blending between clutter and distant terrain is much smoother). You can only have one middle distance texture though, so a rough one that looks good on grass and rocks probably doesn't look any good on snow.

It might just be that you're noticing the jump to mid/far textures more, rather than the distance of the clutter itself.

Next time, eh? ;)

There's 11 of us so far, Bravo and Delta squads are still empty. It will be a tough mission without you guys ;)

Good news guys! Isla Abramia 1.0 is finished and it will be available soon with its launch trailer. Thanks to all the teams that have been testing it for the past few MP events and especially my SBP (Slovenian Black Panthers) Team for their dedication!
