About


The Royal Anglian Regiment 1st Battalion 'The Vikings' (1RA) is an Arma 3 milsim unit, that is based on the real British army infantry regiment itself, which is based in East Anglia, UK. Our aim is to create the most realistic military experience, using textbook training from the British army aswell as British army tactics. We have an organized command and rank system, currently having a command section and a combat section. We use mods e.g 3rd Commando BAF, using British army vehicles, equipment, clothing and weaponry. We are an battalion that operates in GMT, but we welcome European time zones as long as they can still attend most of our operations. We strive to create a high level of maturity and respect, as well as discipline. We also strive to create our recruits to become vigilant and to create a positive mentality, so they can easily develop new skills. We are currently still growing, and we are looking to open another section, so we are desperate for new recruits.

 

Why join us?

 

The Royal Anglian's have been active for over 3 months now, are currently we are looking to open another section to create a full platoon, so we require potential NCO's and specialists in roles e.g CMT. We offer a milsim/realism experience, and our Phase 1 training is strictly based on real-life principles of the British army's Phase 1 training. Also, we commit to home rotations and deployments.

 

Operations

Our operations take place on two dates, on a Saturday from 19:30 to 22:00 GMT. We encourage members to attain the operation on a weekly basis dates. Home rotation exercises and Phase 1 training occurs on a Saturday from 19:30 to 22:00 GMT.

-Over 15 (No exceptions)

-Own an legitimate copy of Arma 3
-Able to follow the chain of command
-Ability to role play to an certain level
-Willing to perform effectively and efficiently with other team members, and think vigilantly
-An fully functioning microphone

Joining process

The joining process for the battalion works like this:
1. Submit an application on our forum website or contact us for a speaking interview
2. We will invite you to our Teamspeak for an interview.

3. Once done with the interview, you will be enrolled onto our Phase 1 training.

-RHS Escalation (For an wide range of enemy equipment and clothing)
-CUP Map Pack (For Takistan and various other maps)
-Task Force Radio (For realistic radio communication)
-3rd Commando BAF (For British equipment, weaponary and vehicles)

Currently, The RA is starting its recruitment drive, for a new Basic Combat Training commencing on the 12th March, all new applications till the 11th March will be put forward for Phase 1 training. All applicants who will pass will gain their Pte rank.
