[COOP-16] Home Unlimited

Home Unlimited is a randomly generated mission where players spawn inside a house and must eliminate all the murderers that are trying to kill them. Players and murderers will also spawn with a random gun (depending on the mission parameter and addons loaded).

 

Murderers wear balacavas and bandannas (or any sort of mask) while friendlies don't.

You can set your parameters to change how random spawn locations are generated, how many enemies there are, enemies skills, how far do enemies start from you, what type of weapons you or your enemies will spawn with, how many grenades you or your enemies start with, what kind of armor are you or your enemies going to wear, how much first aid kits will you or your enemies have, time of day, and weather.

Optional addons are also supported for this mission. If the host or server runs any supported addons, there will be more weapons or clothings that can possibly be randomized to you.

Note:

  • Press "F" or whatever you cycle weapon key is at the start to pull out your weapon (if you are playing on dedicated servers)
  • There are 169 randomized handpicked locations on Stratis
  • There are 20 randomized handpicked locations on Altis. You also have the option to directly spawn at the handpick locations instead of randomizing them on the Altis version.

 

Known Issues:

  • Completely randomized spawns that are not handpicked may bug out and not spawn enemies. You'll get an instant mission complete if that happen. This is often the case if the random location happens to be a small island and the enemy spawn distance parameter lands in the water for every spots selected.
  • You may have a small probability of dying on spawn with completely randomized spawns that are not handpicked. This also depends on the house. You may get stuck in smaller houses and end up dying if you're stuck in a wall.
  • Sometimes, not all playable units are spawned at the objective location. 
  • Sometimes, units may not have a uniform. This is usually the case if you disable AI and take the first slot.

This missions is actually a lot of fun and does not take too long.

 

Can you make a variation similar to the movie "Assault on Precinct 13"?

 

Good Guys must protect a VIP that the AI killers want to eliminate.

 

In the movie, it was a gang that assaulted a police station who were protecting a witness who saw the same gang murder someone. It was a tense overnight standoff where the police has to free up captured suspects in the station to fight against the ruthless gang. Classic movie.

 

I am unsure if any buildings would be similar to a police station with multiple entry but would be super tense.

Hey Valken, sorry I took a while to notice the reply. I haven't hopped on the forums too much since the newer layout to me was less convenient to use than the old variants and I've been busy with school. Easier to hit me up through Steam or skype. 

 

I assume you wanted a fixed mission variant rather than the dynamic mission here correct? Like maybe find a good enough looking police station (maybe somewhere on Chernarus for me) and have a hold off with a VIP?

Correct. Basically, some of the allies would be cop wearing the police uniforms under civilians,while the rest of the team would be civilians. One guy is a VIP that must survive or get away.

 

The OpFor team can be as is since the movie were gang members.

 

I will PM you a place on Chernarus after I've looked for it but also would request a Tanoa version! There are already plenty of houses such as the hotels/

If there is a Tanoa version. Would you like it to have CUP weapons for the shotguns and stuff or just stick to raw APEX and no addons? I'm thinking the hotel on Tanoa would be nice for such scenario.

Both! The reason is that I have been playing ESCAPE missions online and the vanilla versions has a lot more users initially. Once they complete the mission, then I see more users playing with RHS and CUP mod versions. So to ensure we get as many people as possible playing together online, definitely make both if possible.

Still working on a fixed version on Tanoa for vanilla. I make missions slower than usual these days due to other schedules. It'll be a 10 player mission with very limited ammo and a bunch of street thugs with silencers trying to murder you all (I just watched Assault on Precinct 13 last week too :D ). Not making a carbon copy, but inspired by it. Most of the players are unarmed civilians (so you might want to steal a couple of the thugs' guns for those)
