Description

Takistan Storys One is the first mission of many. This one is about an IED cache that has to be destroyed, but it is heavily guarded

by bad guys. You have a preset loadout aswell as your teammates so you have limited resources to complete your mission.

If you want you can call support (UH-60 Helicopter with 2 6.5mm Miniguns) that helps you. But if he gets destroyed you wont

have another one.

 

 

Known issues

-RHS:Escalation is replacing shemags with helmets and boonies for a reason i dont really know.

 

 

How to play

Download the .rar and extract it with (Winrar/7zip).

Locate your Arma 3 installation and find the Mission folder.

Put the .pbo from the .rar into the Mission folder

Start Arma 3

congrats on the release - but...

...please choose an other mirror (Dropbox/Google drive etc.) for providing the file, or check it, because my browser refused the download, because of the security settings. (Verification failed/Not safe)  ;)

Hi Anwender,

 

at first let me thank you for your effort and hard work.  :) 
I guess it is a beginner mission and for that the technical ascpect is very good.

 

...but are far too short, to allow some tactical manoeuvre.  ;) 

 

All in all I did it in 10 minutes...?! (Veteran mode)

 

..., but it was fun and that the main thing, I guess!

 

I don't allow myself any criticism, but I want to point out what is, let me say, uncomfortable.
Please take it as an advice and/or help.  ;)

 

In detail:

Pro:
A functioning beginner mission.
All inserted elements working fine, til to the end.
Takistan a nice place for a battle.

 

Contra:
You called it "Takistan Story", but  you're not telling a story. It is really a pity.
No intro, lack of overview, picture and name of the author... and no impressive atmosphere.
Why presents an IED an immediate danger in this area? No convoy is on the way and no patrol is planned.
The insertion on a hill, exposed to every one, is not a good idea.
Otherwise the highground position was my key - all bad elements could be killed from this point, but boring.
Most of the enemies are not grouped and working not as a team.
What is the reason to implement the great RHS mod if you didn´t use the potential of that awesome mod?

 

Take this mission as a basic to build up a propper mission, without missing anything.  :)

Hi,

First off all...Thank you for playing and taking the time to write a review on my mission!

The mission is all about action and the name "Takistan storys" is just because i couldnt find a good one  :D

i may add some sort of Story in later missions, but im not really good at writing storys.

I worked on the Mission today (see changelog above). I basically added some things

that you mentioned in your review.

Hi,

glad to see that you are really caring about my mission and again thanks for taking the time to help me.

 

I just noticed that i was using an old version of RHS:Escalation.

The new version has AKM´s and PKM´s!

So basically weapons that fit even better into my scenario! Tomorrow i will start changing every loadout

to make it more realistic, because the enemys that i call "takiban"  :D  should have old equipment

and not the clean Ak´s that look like they got delivered from russian factorys a few days ago.

Hi,

i fixed the download but i also changed the loadout of the enemys but now the shemags are replaced with

russian boonies and even helmets?!

thanks for fixing the thing. 

 

Sorry for the delay for giving some feedback, but aside I'm working on some new stuff.  :)

I have played the mission and I noticed the changes you have made.
But I got some issues:
1. The sniper calls for ammo, did you change the load?
2, Furthermore I got an advice of an issue about the sniper rifle from the RHS mod (M107).
3. The battle is not well balanced, because both teams are understaffed (a second machine gunner to suppress the enemy and a medic are essential)
4. The heli support is needless - because of too much power
5. The "donekey" activation is missing (did it in my version)
6. EVAC much too far, cause it makes no sence, because no heli is waiting...and only to reach the End Trigger...?

 

Aside that I work on a stringtable and some stuff around the story - Informations, Intel, ROE, further explanations and so on, hope you will like it?!

 

It´s a good mission and it is fun and the changes you made have an effect.  :)

today i released the next version of my mission!

Basically whats new in this one:

Added:

It's a good mission, had some good firefight out there. I like the mods, briefing was good and informative enough. Sadly i couldn't finish it, my ACE doesn't work properly somehow and i can't place explosives to destroy that ammo cache. But this has nothing to do with the mission-it's a problem on my part.

Voice acting is always nice to have and i see you put effort into this mission. I managed to score some really good hits with that m4, past 400m.

 

Hope you'll make more missions.

and there's no chance of anyone gaining access to your new version.
