Task Force Clover

Task Force Clover is looking for ArmA 3 players who are interested in a cooperative realism style of gameplay. Clover is themed as a NATO backed international special operations group. We have a hard minimum age of 18 years old, as the group caters primarily to adults with busy lives. With a small, tight-knit community that collectively has many years together playing the ArmA series, Clover allows new members to become a part of that and have what we consider to be a gameplay experience unique to our group.

The group originally chose the PMC theme in 2015 to help avoid a milsim feel. Starting in 2021, however, the group has rebranded from "Clover Security" to "Task Force Clover" to bring us back to a more military/milsim feel while still giving us missions appropriate to smaller groups of operators.

Most weeks, Clover conducts missions in a story-driven campaign which each affect the story going forward, and where outcomes alter future missions. During those campaign missions, we use realism as a guide, adopting appropriate loadouts, strategies, and tactics for a small unit (within the game’s constraints). However, we do not carry the simulation out of game. We do not have an elaborate ranking system nor do we expect any particular decorum between members out of game. It’s our happy balance between milsim and fun.

We have run such story-driven campaigns lasting typically for 2-5 months of weekly play in Mediterranean islands, the Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and many other locales, most fictional. We have helped protect and rebuild war-torn populaces and aid workers, have investigated mining outposts who have suddenly gone dark, have come into conflict with Russian special forces and with Chinese troops, have dealt with east European militias as well as a variety of gangs, cartels, and local thugs. We have protected or helped to stop convoys, protected VIPs, extracted civilians, rescued hostages, assaulted encampments, neutralized weapons and armaments, recovered vehicles and assets, and many other missions. All of these campaigns have taken place in a fictitious timeline of world events which runs a few years into the near future.

We also use these ideas of realism to guide us when setting up limitations on our servers and choosing mods to play with. Recently, we have also begun to use a Zeus to guide campaign operations and ensure they run smoothly and present a challenge throughout, without being overbearing.

Realism Settings

  • No Third Person
  • No Crosshairs
  • No Respawn (on campaign missions; this differs from mission-to-mission otherwise)
  • Stamina
  • ACE Medical

Realism Mods

  • ACE - Ballistics, Medical, and more
  • TFAR - TeamSpeak audio represents locally audible chat, radios allow long-distance communication
  • CUP and RHS mod packs
  • Enhanced Movement - allow for some more fluid movement and a wider range of movement options
  • ...and others

Ranks and Positions

While we don’t have a ranking system or official permanent positions in game, we often use a basic military arrangement in the field . We run a section with a leader and then teams under that, each with a team lead, a light machine gun, a medic or anti-tank kit (typically one team has one, one has the other), and a rifleman. These loadouts change with mission specificity, but that is the general build. In some areas of operation we are allowed more latitude with weapons platforms, vehicles, explosive ordinance, etc., and can behave almost as wartime mercenaries; in others we are strictly limited to particular gear and actions, and follow explicit ROE. Every theater is different.

The group itself has three co-founders, one of whom is the group's leader and overall administrator off the field. Everyone pitches in to help out when things need doing.

June 2019

Greetings all! Clover International Security is about to set out on our third official deployment, designated "Operation Desert Star". This deployment will take us to the Middle Eastern nation of Takistan. Our first area of operations will be in the Kunduz, Takistan region. Our services have been contracted by the militia organization known as the Sovereign State of Takistan, who oppose the occupation of Takistan by the newly formed CSAT armed forces.

Join us as we endeavor to fight alongside a coalition of Takistanis, training and organizing their forces and providing our tactical expertise in the war room and in the field, to force CSAT out of Takistan.

We are currently accepting applications! Head over to http://cloversecurity.org/recruitment/ to take a look!

Just a quick update! We're four missions into Operation Desert Star. In Friday's mission, the team recovered the leader of the SST Coalition and prevented his execution, extracting him successfully back to friendly territory.

We are ready for a big push to further SST footholds in the region! And to do that, we need more bodies on the ground! Check us out today at http://cloversecurity.org/recruitment/. You can also browse the site and take a look at the overview posts of each of our recent missions, or take a look at the rest of our website!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Well, we're twelve missions into the ODS campaign. Kunduz region is successfully under the control of the Sovereign State of Takistan movement, but turmoil has overtaken the war effort in the Al Rayak province.

During a summit of SST leaders, hoping to carve a stable governmental platform out of a band of militias and local leaders, several SST traitors opened fire on the dignitaries and on their fellow soldiers, resulting in a bloodbath at the International Hotel. The CIS unit escaped the area, but both the civilian populace and the SST suffered casualties, and the delegates were all but wiped out.

Following that, the regional leaders who had not been at the meeting met clandestinely to deal with the situation, without CIS support, and were taken hostage by CSAT forces, who somehow knew where they would be and when. The CIS unit sent to extract them was utterly wiped out, and the hostages killed.

With SST leadership reeling, we must seize the moment and deal some decisive blows to CSAT forces in the region - and we need your help

The recent Operation New Horizon which we undertook in the last half a year was a success, although with a bit of a dark outcome.

We're now starting into Operation Dark Eagle in Germany, set in the year 2020, and we need a few good contractors to join up with us! If you're an adult over the age of 21 who is looking for a once or twice a week realism group with a PMC theme - check out our website for more information or to contact us!

Operation Dark Eagle is in full swing! CIS units have been instrumental in assisting the German national police in stepping hard on the RPV rebel forces in the Taunus district, and are well on the path to eradicating the insurgency once and for all, and assisting the Germans in restoring order to their post-war country. Thus far, we've been QRF for stranded police units, hunted high-value targets, patrolled and defended towns, responded to hostage situations, and more!

Come check out our site and apply to join us!

Hey everyone! After Clover Security was forced to withdraw from Germany and end its contract with the government, a unit was deployed to east Ukraine in order to help the government and pro-government militias restore order there, provide security for the populace and for IDAP volunteers, and to eradicate the NAF pro-Russian militia presence in the region.

We're well underway, possibly halfway through the deployment. Things are going well, and we'd love to have a few good soldiers who are looking for a run as contractors to join up before we end this campaign and begin another! Take a look at https://cloversecurity.org.

Thanks!

Hey everyone! It's been over a year since Clover last recruited! Due to some member attrition, we're looking to find some new blood! Come join us for our new Mogadishu 2021 campaign, where we'll be the PMC security element for the new United States Embassy there. We are just starting out on a several month "deployment" there, so it's a good time to join up. Should be a lot of defends, escorts, patrols, and a few tasks for the sneaky CIA station chief, as well! Come check us out at https://cloversecurity.org (website was just redone, too!).
