The enemy placement is spot on... even using these AI accuracy limiters, the enemy can still pwn you if you get cocky lol

 

Mission 6 is Dark Souls challenging level (you gotta kill over 40 tangos without letting them fire a bullet or else mission fails... even after disabling the alarm... had to use No Target function to enjoy this mission or else I´d take more than 3 hours to finish this up retrying my as$ off lol)

 

One mission to go =)

Anyone else have an issue in Mission 3? I blew the enemy base to shit but the task never ticked off,so I could not move on. There was an issue with the CAS-the plane kept circling but did not bomb,so I had to use missile strikes.But it still didnt tick,so I cannot progress any further :(

 

That should have been fixed in 0.8.1 but I'll look into it more for the next update. Mission 3 doesn't have a CAS plane, but has a problem with the transport plane not despawning when it's supposed to, so I've added a fix for that too.

Isn't that what RHS: Escalation is?

If you download RHS Escalation from Armaholic (or elsewhere probably), it is only version 0.3.5 I believe, possibly even older. They split them into two separate mods after that and have been updating them as two separate addons. If you used the RHS Escalation addon when making the mission there's a good possibility that is part of the problem I was PM'ing you about with the crates missing and the error message. Armaholic tends to keep listing RHS Escalation in various requirements for mods when in fact it's outdated now. I'm speaking from experience; I too thought I had the "latest" version of Escalation, only to find out it hasn't been updated at all and that I needed to download the russian and american mods separately.

Edit: You can check the version you have in the game when you're in a mission by pressing the escape key and then clicking the RHS Options button on the left side of the screen. It will bring up some basic info and have the version number. That's how I originally discovered that I thought I had version 0.3.8 (at the time) and it was actually much older.

Oooh okay, I see. I've been using the updater .bat file for each of those, so version 0.3.9.1 for both USAF and AFRF.

 

Edit: Just uploaded v0.8.2 to Media Fire

- Added failsafe trigger for mission 3 where plane wouldn't properly delete.
- Reduced damage threshold for weapons cache from 0.5 to 0.3 for completion trigger on mission 4.
- Added failsafe trigger for cache on mission 4 and removed RHS weapons cache completely.
- Removed debug hint in mission 6.
- Reduced accuracy and other AI skills for most missions.
- Increased Delta Force AI sub skills to be more bad ass.
- Changed player to "Demo specialist" on mission 4 so you can use the toolkit.
 
Let me know how the enemy AI changes feel. I'll adjust it in the future, of course.

Sorry-I meant mission 4. The one where you have to call in CAS on the rebel base and disable the power station.Is that 4? The one with the laptop,power station AA etc.

What's no target function? How does it work?

I use NSS_Admin toolset mod so I can have teleport, debug, VAS, VSS, invencibility, invisibility and no target functions to test missions or just cheat a little on SP =P

 

If you use MCC, just use the invisibility button on top of MCC window (it works almost as no target... no target is a debug/dev function that disables AI target on you (AI just ignore you, you can beat them, shoot them, they don´t react to your presence... MCC invisibility on the other hand makes you invisible, but they can still hear ya)

 

I´ve replayed the mission 6 (before today´s update) and indeed, after disabling the alarm, the hint appears but the mission doesn´t fail/there´s no alarm

 

I´ll check mission 4 and 6 again for the bugfixes =)

With this new version I finally stand a chance! Thank you for that.

How does one extract from mission Switchblade though? The secure area task isn't completing for some reason and the chopper hasn't shown up. I waited half an hour and finally decided to come ask.

Let me know if its too easy. That objective is tied to the chopper, so it wont complete until it gets there - and it wont go there until all enemies are dead. Sometimes it gets stuck trying to hook up it's cargo at the airfield, so you'll have to retry the mission unfortunately.

Hmm. Well don't open anyone who doesn't want it spoiled, but yeah here's where I'm at:

I've killed everyone, hid the bodies and that task completed, but yeah, no helicopter shows up unfortunately. No clue where it could be.

And also, it's not too easy (for me anyway). Still have to focus and try hard, but it doesn't feel quite so impossible anymore due to the AI behavior (which is obviously out of your control for the most part other than the values).

Edit: So I ended up restarting the mission, and this time the helo came in and dropped the truck no problem, but now after hiding all the bodies that task won't complete. Very frustrating. About to restart for I think the 7th time now lol (I died the first couple times).

Hi Guys!

 

Been trying to 'extract' on mission 7 - 'Regiment 30'. Near the end, I come across a squad of four bunched up 2 by 2 - I blow them up with two quick frags. However when I actually get near the Browning-armed HumVee, the thing just blows up, throwing the error "No entry 'Campaigns\dfa\description.ext/Campaign/FirstContact.END1'.". I have to hit Replay from the menu to reload the game & no matter what I do, it invariably ends the same way.

 

I tried using the toolkit to see if some mine could be defused, searched the bodies of the ambush-squad at extract pt for some clue, ran around a bit looking to hit some hidden guy holding a remote.. None of them work! Hell, I even blew up the HumVee with a charge but still the thing blows up when I near it. Have I hit a bug there? My keyboard doesn't have a numpad so no chance of skipping the mission via the 'EndMission' cheat either. Any suggestions would be great.

On second mission, "In time" none of my teammembers move, react, like simulation is disabled for them, also for hostages after releasing them. My character speak very low tone, he sound like cow.
