I've recreated the mission, using the original files as a guide, however many of the internals are new, designed to be more efficient, and easier for someone to modify if I decide to drop this project. A crucial component is the ease at which it can be switched to use different mods, I will be making a CUP version when they have all the appropriate components and I am looking at making a version for the VTN mod. Contains voice acting using the original ARMA II files. Modification of the mission Since it's not my mission originally you're free to modify it as long as it falls within the constraints that the ARMA II data packages are released under (e.g. voice acting cannot be used in another game). When it comes to the functions inside the mission -fn_showOSD.sqf -fn_kbMenu.sqf are tweaked versions of the BIS functions of the same names. Feel free to use the functions in whatever but please give me credit for the originals.Credit: Bohemia Interactive: for the original mission, the voice acting and releasing all their previous work to make endeavours like this possible. To Do: -Finish my Civilian Interaction System-some of the files are still in the mission but it is disabled. When re-enabled it will allow greater interaction with civilians, including the possibility of telling you about enemy movements. -Bug fixing -General tweaking Known issues: (may contain spoilers) -General AI driving, sometimes AI will inexplicably become stuck on thin air. I've tried to minimise these but most of them shouldn't affect your gameplay too much. -Father Fyodor often gets stuck in Gorka when following you. To reset his position type in the debug console JNA_Fyodor setPos (getPos player) and press Local Exec. -Truck bringing the engineers to Gorka if you report the cache sometimes gets stuck or doesn't move. (nice use of RHS Zeeleax female face... but should have used the bodies, thou they´re all dressed on military uniforms ;) Ohh and you could use Reyhards civilian pack, so the chernarussian civilians could wear slavic clothes, not mediterrans ;) With ACE I can subdue her and handcuff and escort, but even if I take her to manhattan base the task doesn´t completes.... I recall on the original mission a LAV would come to take her, but I haven´t found an action or radio command to request a prisioner transport =P Loved the way all dialogs are included, and I hope you can use the mod i´ve pointed out on steam (A2 Slaughter pack) so we can have proper mass graves when investigating the chedaki ethnic cleansing! However I have just noticed a missing link in the FSM which could very well be buggering it. When the condition is fulfilled you'll have a conversation with her, then be tasked to take her to an LZ for the CDF to come pick her up. As for porting other missions in the campaign, I'm thinking I might try and do Bitter Chill or Razor Two, but given my tendency to start something then drop it and pick it up later (I've been working on Manhattan for months-on and off) it could be a while. I agree here-the Slaughter pack has great,grim assets-mass graves,hanging bodies etc- and is a very small download(21MB)/It really adds to these type of missions.Keep it up mate! I can now arrest Lagushina and many civilians are dressed properly... 3 issues thou: A-) I can´t trigger the dialog with Galinka and the doctor Soja... but I´ve triggered the message they´re both executed, thou Galinka is still on the same spot, but now she flees the scene when I come nearer and no dialog is triggered... I bet cus she´s dead... but not quite? B-) Galinka, Valeria, Father Feodor, all the "talking" NPCs are still on mediterranean clothes (only ambient/"mute" NPCs have RDS civies clothes) C-) I can´t find the hanged Soja, he should be on the woods around Kranostav, but I couldn´t spot his corpse =P (and I´m using obviosly the A2 slaughter pack... arma1.54 stable) But those are small issues, this mission is an awesome port, and I really hope to see more from A2 campaigns down the line ;D Cheers! I think CUPs got everything I need, so this weekend I'll polish off any last bugs, then try and make the CUP port. Aside from the actual base at Manhattan, nearly everything is spawned by script-inefficient but it makes classname changes dead simple. I'll need to make a new redress function for each faction, if the CDF are already included it will be fine, if not I might improvise with the AAF and setObjectTexture for a bit. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The CUP version is coming along quite nicely, it's almost done but I get fairly regular crashes when using CUP vehicles that I'm trying to pin down (so I can't quite finish it). dakaodo 52 Posted April 27, 2016 Hi, Jona33! I'm really digging your Manhattan mission in its current form, and the possible/eventual changes you guys have discussed sound great. I only just started the mission, but this is what I've seen and thought of Arma for years, before I plunked down for Arma 3 last year. Never played before. So I'm very appreciative of being able to experience a part of Arma 2, but in Arma 3. So far, the mission feels like exactly like what I want my Arma experience to be. The slower initial pacing, investigations, etc. are setting a good mood of tension without actual violence yet. Sandbox is a lot of fun (I've got nearly 1300 hrs in Arma 3, almost all in editor, self-made SP missions, and a couple of SP or MP-as-SP missions; when that gets boring, maybe I'll try actual MP), but well-made missions give it an atmosphere that I can't readily make by myself or for myself. :D Thank you, and no rush on any of your work -- keep it enjoyable!
