What is Lone Star Texas? 

-Lonestar texas is a mod based on an alternate history  In which the state of Texas never joined the United States but instead remained a close ally. In which they were so close all events in history regarding military operations with texans involved were joint operations between the US and TX in this history. This mod is set in 2035 with CSAT backed cartels as the main enemy.

 

What Tech does the Texan Army have?

-Main weapon is going to be the SCAR-L (Temporary use of the black MX) and LMG is planned to be the M249 (Currently using MK200 in dev build) but uniform wise they are similar design to the NATO faction (US army)

 

Info about gear:

 

  1. The camo pattern is one of many US4CES variants, With the US not using it the Texans began to use it for their infantry
  2. Their MBT is the M1A2 Tusk. while their main APC is the LAV-25
  3. They wear the PCS Mastiff uniforms (AAF uniforms) with ECH helmets and basic NATO vests in US4CES Woodland

Thanks, i dont know about that as i dont want the latin american community angry at me, Thats why the CSAT cartels are going to be basically CSAT members that moved to mexico (Covert Ops S**t). My main issue at the moment with the units is just getting them to show up in zeus and i still need to make the following 

  1. Medic
  2. Marksman
  3. Grenadier
  4. Sniper
  5. Crewman
  6. Heli Pilot/Crew
  7. Ammo bearer

Nice retextures... are you going to use CUP´s SCAR and M249 or Toadie´s HLC weapons (SCAR is planned but didn´t set an ETA yet) or SMA ones?

Great to see another fictional units! This as well as the Italian Division is making me really happy.

ArmA 3 setting really leaves a lot of room for alternate history stuff

I plan on having no requirements so most likely neither. As im going to be retexturing the arma 2 SCAR and such along with some A2 vehicles

I also plan on having a friend of mine see if he can help me port over some uniform stuff from arma 2 like vests and helmets

You don´t have to re-invent the wheel... EricJ made a lot of ports, you may ask him some tips or maybe just ask nicely and he may hand over his SCARs, UH-60M etc, which are already being used by other mods (without any dependacy on EricJ pack, cus he just donate his ports to USAF mod, US 75TH mod, etc)

I got it handled already with the help of my old partner Nunez/atinakiri. He handed me a SCAR from an old mod of ours and i updated it to make it compatible with the new optics from marksman and such

So some of the weapons i've added are coming along nicely. (ie. M240 for MMG) but my main issue is AI wont engage while holding said weapons

Maybe texas could use the RAH comanche? (blackfoot as it's called ingame) The real life thing was rejected for use by the US because of its armor. Maybe you could say Boeing pitched the RAH-66 to Texas after the US decided to reject the project as a last ditch measure to ensure Boeing didn't lose the money invested

the Comanche will be in game as a scout heli like it was designed, the real Attack chopper may be something on the lines of an AH-64 or a modified variant to make it "2035ish" like the tail fan rotor. but idk about that

This is a strange thing, have you can try to take a look at some other mod config and see if there is something wrong in you weapons!

I Think i found my issue, i'll give more info on results later

Hmmm, is there a variable for the range of the weapon? Probably the max range is set to ~100mt and the AI use them in this way... Or something like this... In my opinion is a problem with a variable in the config!

hmmm, maybe the AH-1z would be better since its only a few years old now. I heard somewhere a while ago (i think it was some documentary) that the US plans to use the AH-64 up to 2030, it may be replaced by 35.
