zagor64bz 1225 Posted September 3, 2015 Hi, I'm new to mission making and I was wondering if it was possible to fire a mini mission during a "normal" mission. let me explain: My main team is receiving a briefing on a HVT that has been spotted by a recon / sniper team the night before. They gear up and get ready to board the chopper to execute the "get the badboy" mission when.....swooosh....a mini-mission start, where you are that recon/sniper team spotting the HVT.You pinpoint the HVT location, inform HQ and ...swoosh you go back to the main team, right when you board the choppa. Is that possible? I tried with "selectPlayer" and it kinda work...but you still are in the "first" part of the mission time and weather, while it should be night, for instance.... EDIT: forget...it's a SP/coop (no JIP) mission... THANKS!!!
R3vo 2652 Posted September 3, 2015 You could use a combination of cutText to fade in fade out and BIS_fnc_textTile to display the name of the new location and whatnot. In addition, you can change the weather, time and location during the fade in /fade out sequence. Sometimes it's not possible to create the amount of vehicles and soldiers during a simple fadeOut/in, in that case you can also use https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/startLoadingScreenhttps://community.bistudio.com/wiki/startLoadingScreen , Edit: I would not recommend to use selectPlayer. I'd probably use the same unit and simply change it's loadout, group, position etc.
