Onkel mac 0 Posted October 14, 2002 When I try the installer tells me that "Operation Flashpoint is not installed on your computer or Installiation is corrupted". What to do know?
Placebo 31 Posted October 14, 2002 Uninstall everything & start again? Time consuming yes but you won't lose anything if you do it right
Sharp_eye 0 Posted October 14, 2002 yeah, have the same prob... reinstalled it twice too. The patch does the verify, but he says some files are corrupt resulting in not-upgraded ofp. Then he asks to reinstall again. example: "0.pbo is corrupted" i tried copying the original 0.pbo from the res/addons folder on the original ofp-cd, but doesn't work btw, operation flashpoint resistance didn't install properly in first place... i admit, i had to copy the entire cd to my hard-drive (change the setup.crc to setup.bak) and install from there... maybe it matters, dunno but hope somebody finds out what's wrong with it... greetz
Mister Frag 0 Posted October 14, 2002 The O.PBO file from the original OFP CD is not the one you want -- you need the one from the FlashpointResistance\Res\AddOns folder on the Resistance CD.
Sharp_eye 0 Posted October 15, 2002 ah, well yes... that's what i meant i know, my bad still doesn't work but thx for trying anyway...
Sharp_eye 0 Posted October 15, 2002 Well good news guys... in my desperate mood, i tried everything again, and i applied the patch! i don't kno what i did wrong last time, but i'm sure i took the right file and put it in the right folder. anyway, it's like i mentioned before, and so did mister frag. ye have to copy the corrupted file directly from the cd. So when you apply the patch, he'll say which one is corrupted go to yer resistance cd, and copy directly from it, into the right folder. now run the patch... it should work. thx mister frag, wouldn't of tried it again without ye

You need to have unmodified o.pbo as it was distrubuted, otherwise incremental patch cannoy work.
Merkava -IDF- 0 Posted November 1, 2002 does it means you have to install first ofp version 1 then all the updates one after other?? 1.1 , 1.2. 1.3, 1.4 and on... and then in the end i can just install resistance. can i install resistance after i installed ofp version 1. or do i need to install all the updates 1.1 - 1.6 first, then resistance, then 1.85 ? this can't be true !!!!! JRMZ 0 Posted November 1, 2002 No that means that you install original OFP; then resistance; then 1.85. its simple
