Retaining ARMA OA custom missions after uninstalling

1) I'm a Steam user and wish to uninstall ARMA OA and just keep ARMA2 - is this possible or will the uninstall process remove ARMA2 as well?

2) After uninstalling ARMA OA, am I right to assume that myARMA OA custom missions are still kept in the Arma 2 folder in my Documents?

Just to be safe go into your Documents folder and add all your custom missions to zip file for backup purposes. If they stay then just delete the zip, no harm done. If they are removed then you still have them.
