No, there's a compatibility mod on the Workshop that you need to make it work properly.

Does the VMF Infantry still use flora camouflage in 2017/2018, or have EMR uniforms for the Marines yet to be implemented? Just asking for a mission idea I've got going on.

I scoured Google Images in both English and Russian language searches (well, improvised Russian). It looks like they still have a lot of flora and berezka kit, mainly vests, helmet covers, etc and are just using it through the wear-out period. As for uniforms, if you're not terribly bothered by it the standard, insignia-less EMR uniforms could work as a substitute

I'm kind of curious if the US factions ever going to get Anti-Air Vehicles, like the Avenger or M163 Vulcan. and possible the Anti-Air variant for the lav ( if we get one of course) ;D.

Most likely not. The M163 Vulcan ended it's service in 1994 and the LAV-AD in 2002, and right now from what I hear (dunno if true or not) the TWQ-1 Avenger is slowly being put into reserve, with only a few US Army and Marine Corps units for SHORAD defense, possibly because of a doctrine that Air Superiority is the ultimate factor in defending ground forces.

Actually US Army is rebuilding its anti-air defence capabilities. For example new air defence variant of Bradley is in development, or new Stryker MSL, as well as improved Avenger that can be mounted on JLTV.

And there is much more, like the new MML launcher as well as new upgrades to Patriot system, altough these two are not a SHORAD solutions per se, MML is something between Avenger, Bradley AA and Stryker MSL and Patriot system.

USMC might get their improved Avenger on JLTV and perhaps Stryker MSL equivalent based on their new ACV 1.1.

US Army is also interested in turret and armament of of south korean K30 Biho.

So there is a lot of interesting development in US ground forces air defence in recent time.

So what you're saying is that there's a chance for some US AA vehicles/sites?  ;)

We really could use at least one AA vehicle and one ground site other than the vanilla stuff.  I would love to see RHS quality units.

There is still M6 Linebacker and detached MANPADs teams.

I am aware.  That was a turn of phrase indicating a want, not a promise on RHS's part.
It would just be nice to have a SAM system other than Short range IR seekers or MANPADS in RHS, so that other mods don't have to be sought out to fill that void.

Sure, unfortunetaly, development cycle is always long and painfull, so as always no promises. ;)

Because there must be declassified source doc from MoD,not just yellow paper news.Time will tell.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Stryker MSL, but so far they only adopted the Stryker Dragoon, and the Stryker with Javelin Launcher to up-gun the existing Stryker ICV.... An improved Avenger for the JLTV would be totally nice, alongside an upgrade to the FIM-92F. Havn't heard much about the Marine Corps' ACV and I do hope it hasn't been hampered by budgetary affairs. Lastly, I did NOT know about the MML Launcher and it's variety of missiles it can launch! Also is there a source for the US Army's interest in the K30 Biho? This is also news to me

I did not know this. I notice the Stryker a while back but I didn't think they were going to try it out. I know way back they were looking at making a anti-air variant for the Abrams, but idk if that was just a random picture some one made.

ACV will be choosen this year. Stryker MSL is now undergoing tests. Bradley AA is under review for potential modifications. K30 was recently tested by US Army. MML also undergoes tests.

Here is video showing Stryker MSL and K30 Biho tested at White Sands.

Among many other new developments, like new 155mm artillery, and upgrades for armored vehicles. New AFV's are also under development.

And there is much more, not covered by the media, but shhhhh. ;)

Oh it's the White Sands test! I didn't know the Biho was demonstrated at it. From the way it looks though it feels less like they are looking at acquiring the Biho and more like demonstrating how effective a SPAAG system has become. Although since it was also at AUSA 2018, maybe they seriously are thinking of acquiring the system itself. I really don't know, but I feel US Military Brass would be more interested in making their own SPAAG/M-SHORAD system based on what was demonstrated..

Yes AGDS, altough it was not a pure AA vehicle, consider it as a hybrid of AAD/BMPT.

US Army is more interested in the turret, not the chassis, as they would mount the turret on Bradley/AMPV chassis most likely. And yes they might only use K30 as a inspiration, afterall they have their own components and even ideas. ;)

EAPS.jpg&hash=cccd6c32161588390b6960f947

This turret could be mounted on MLRS chassis which is based on Bradley, or Bradley/AMPV itself. It's armed with twin 50mm Bushmaster cannons and 8x Stinger missiles. There are of course some other ideas. And you would ask, why 50mm autocannons? Because they would use airburst ammo that can adjust it's trajectory to target during flight. ;)

The thing is developed under EAPS program, or Extended Area Protection System.

1444408581974.jpg

This is another idea, where EAPS cannons would be mounted on HEMTT truck.

Another interesting fact is that these things would use AESA radars, which means they have much greater capabilities than older PESA and other radar types.

PS. We should cut it here, it went way too much off topic.
