Hey. I would like to ask you guys from RHS if you have any list of WIP assets, vehicles etc.? Thanks

Best regards DonbassCZ

I don’t think there is a public one, possibly to prevent people from going: XYZ is on you WIP list why haven’t you finished it yet?

I'm still working on a T-64BV that I'd like to donate to RHS at some point... As soon as I figure out how to animate models, do configs and texture them properly :P I've still got a lot to learn.

Question:

Are the ACOG (and acog-like) scopes supposed to zoom in like an LRPS or MOS, or are they supposed to behave like the RCOs? Because they're acting like the former

In the pause menu select "RHS Options", should in the top left. You can open that menu and choose if you want to use 3d scopes (as you say, like RCO) or 2d scopes (like LRPS).

Can't believe I didn't think of that beforehand lol.

Thanks!

Is there a way to force those things to all players?
I also want to turn of the radio chatters via script if possible

Just a thought, when dynamic loadout hits the main branch, would that be possible to have R-73/R-74 and Igla launchers for Russian helos?

mi8t-7.jpg
This one here is a two-tube Igla launcher, but Mi-28 can also carry the R-73 (of which the R-74 is an improved variant of). I'm feeling that Russian attack helos lack in AA power a bit. The US ones can all Sidewinders for that purpose.

P1100918.JPG

6 Iglas and 8 atakas makes Mi-28 OP :P

The photo you refered is a Mi-8ATMSh.It's diffirent from Mi-8MTV.And actually 2 Ataka launchers and 4 iglas.

R-60/R-73 is possible, but not the best solution for helicopters.

As for Muricans - Apache able to carry up to 4 stingers. But it's almost never been used.

Sidewinders are only Super Cobra feature.

You're right. It was late at night when I posted that. :) Mixed up the launchers. Anyway, it would certainly be useful to have some AA firepower for Russian helos, especially as the air-launched Igla looks remarkably similar to the handheld version.

It seems that I mixed up some RHS stuff with CUP, as well (or just forgotten). I thought you have both Mi-8AMTSh and a Sidewinder-equipped Apache.

There is no Mi8AMTSh in RHS... actually not even in any ArmA mod... It's kinda... too diffirent from older Mi8MTVs.It's reques completely new model.

AH-64's are capable to use not only FIM-92's but also AIM-9's. It's not exclusive for AH-1W and AH-1Z.

Still not see much sence of usage something more than MANPADs.ArmA limitation won't provide proper usage even for it.

Not sure about typical loadout of Mi28N,but seems Igla+Ataka seems reasonable. But it's too OP.

AH-1 - Sidewinders are ok,cuz used IRL.But compared to 6 iglas,2 sidewinders seems weak.Sort of 'Air Superiority Helicopter' sounds like bullshit.

AH-64 - Stingers and Sidewinders are seems possible, but almost never been used in practice. For realism sake this makes no sence.

Another point - use AA missiles on Mi24s... there was experience of their usage in during Soviet-Afghanistan war... unusuall.Soviet Pilots in early stage of A-stan war didn't have NVGs.So Mujaheedins used to transport their convoys at nights, lights off.R-60 missile been used for spotting car engine heating.

Just my IMO,but...

Anyway - ajustable loadout like on Firewill addons simply solve this problem...

We'd still need to model said launchers as well. Ultimately that's the main reason it's not been done so far and the reason it may not be added any time soon.

The fact Jets DLC will add dynamic loadouts to aircraft and helicopters doesn't inherently mean we'll prioritise expanding the inventory of aircraft weaponry. First priority goes to adapting what is already there.

I'm not asking for Igla+Ataka to be made default loadout, only for it to be possible. Likewise, AH-64 should have access to Stingers and Sidewinders. Also, the new sensor system will allow using missile sensors to detect cars. This could be an interesting use case, actually. I know that RHS doesn't model the Soviet army, but Mi-24D is available for GREF forces.

I know it'll require modeling the launchers, but wouldn't that be possible to reuse and adopt the handheld models? The aircraft version of Igla seems similar to the handheld one. It also seems to be the case with Stingers:

I was wondering, before I make a feature request on the RHS site, if the AI are capable of taking move orders as pilots in the UH-1Y (FFAR/MG)? I know with vanilla choppers, when AI are placed in the pilot seat and are given move orders, they'll actually fly the helicopter. I was kind of imagining a situation where I had an AI pilot escort me on an attack mission where I manned one of the weapons but perhaps RHS choppers aren't setup to function this way?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Yikes. The lead pilot seat is on the right side, rather than the left, in this chopper. Wow my bad. Sorry about that.

Is there any manual on Mi-28 TGP view? I recall there being a video, but I can't find it.

For some reason, I get Ataka missiles to guide with an AI gunner. I have him target vehicles and fire, but it doesn't work, they just fly straight ahead. Mi-24 missiles seem to work.

Actually, I just found a "Mi-8AMTSh" in the VVS-Camo faction in RHS. It looks like a normal Mi-8, but still. Also, a Sidewinder-equipped Apache is in the US portion of the mod - it's called AH-64 Apache (AA).

Sorry for double post, but I'm fed up with the way this forum makes copypasting quotes difficult.

I honestly feel like the simulation of tanks and APCs in RHS has now gotten to steel beasts level of detail.

All the sights, lasing systems and stuff are accurate.

Is there anything missing that makes RHS less of an armor sim than steel beasts?

Well, Steel Beasts has realistic interior interactions, I think. Also, I don't know if ArmA engine is quite as good at simulating the "armor" part, that is, penetration and various other effects. It is a good sim, but not quite as good (not yet, anyway).
